Downloaded the fix and the ↓ pointing spike's fill acid does not seem to actually go all the way up still. The acid doesn't go all the way up on ANY of the four spikes. That's intentional. if they casually swim and hit a wall, they die. Also their field of vision should be wider. It seems like you have to be right in front of them in order for them to activate. Also they can leave the water as well.
