I was just trying this out and I already love this thingy! It makes recolorng a lot quicker. I'm going to use it a lot I think.

You seem to be a cool guy, FrozenQuills because your CC placement and this tool. ;)

CC placements don't make anyone cool.

I'm have issues with the program sadly (using 1.11)
It seems to be having troubles with drawing light colours. Lighter shades and white don't show up at all in the joinedimages.
On top of that the png file won't open at all.

Also, here's a feature request:
Seeing the way the splitter works, do you think you could add a tilesetsplitter GUI to the program? That way you don't have to split new tilesets into separate files and just have your program do it as well!

It's a shame I can't use this program to all of its uses yet, but it will be really useful.

Can you post a screenshot of what happens to the colors? It could possibly be an issue with the Python Image library I'm using.
HenryRichard wrote:This is really good, though whenever I join the .gifs together, the first color on the colormap always seems to be replaced with transparency. It's kind of annoying, but it's not too hard for me to fix on my own and it doesn't stop the fact that this program is a massive timesaver. Also, it could just be that I use Gimp instead of paint.net.
I can't seem to reproduce this issue as well, so a screenshot would also help.
Thanks for the feedback btw everyone..!

Actually, I believe me and Henrychard have the same issue.
Here's an example picture:

[edit]
Including a single graphic that is bigger than the other seems to get rid of that issue.

Whoa that's REALLY weird that the joinImage.exe just randomly misses a color, but good thing you found a temporary fix. You could also make another layer behind the current one and paintbucket the color that is missing.
And it looks like if I make them all the same size I still can't reproduce the issue, but it might be just python being dumb.
EDIT: When I have only three of those files, I get that issue now, so that's progress.

No need for extra layers if you just use the global paintbucket tool :P
(Seriously, that's the main reason why your program is so useful, recolours in paint net only require a few seconds for the entire tileset, which is amazing)

Oh right I completely forgot that option existed, lol

EDIT: Alright I made a quick fix to V1.11 so you can try redownloading that.

I'm no longer having the issue, so this program works perfectly now!

Good to hear.
This tool should probably be stickied/moved to the graphics subforum now that I think about it, actually...

Well, it's not really a graphic, so I think it's fine in this subforum.

Maybe this can be linked in some "general external tools thread" then.

So why does frozenquills still have no trophy? He should get two! One for making this and one for winning MAFAB

I second this. I'm just seeing this thread now and agree it's a useful tool. FrozenQuills, you should request the 'programming' medal.

This tool is still very useful. It saved e a lot of time while recoloring npc.
