Good news: I'm almost done with my 16-bit SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis Luigi playable sprites. Just gotta add the remaining 25 frames of Tanooki Luigi to the sheet, and I'll test them out* on the new SMBX2.0 version:

So remember the huge thwomps I made that people will probably never use due to how impractical they are? Well, I made some alternatives:

Is it just me, or do these really look better than the actual SMB3 Luigi sprites? Also, they're brighter and have more color than the SMB3 Luigi sprites too.

I'm not sure about that thought of my SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis Luigi sprites having "More colors"* than the original 16-bit SMB3 sprites.... But thank you for seeing them as better than the 16-bit SMB3 sprites. ^^"

*Fun trivia, I used at least 12-14 colors from the Mega Drive color palette for each sprite.

I was trying to make some "Underground" theme background GFXs with SEGA Mega Drive colors for my graphics pack recently! And I got stuck once again with the design. :o

Here's the "Draft" of this background graphic I started working on, so please excuse the MS paint quailty:

I like most of them, i'm not sure about the large tilted one though because the proportions seem slightly off to me. The black part is wider than the others and the blue bit is taller as well, while the ? part is still the same size.

Vanilla SMBX GFX

Hello forums!

I'm making a gfx pack changing SMB, SMB2, and SMB3 blocks, backgrounds, non-playable characters and etc. to have an 8-bit vanilla look.
It will be a big project, so if you would like to involve some of your custom gfx, feel free to PM me!

Added some things
the shape looks fine and I like the concept; however, the base is pillow shaded and the light source on the blue areas is inconsistent. Definitely work on your shading.

I just started on a Emerald Castle theme tileset using the colors from the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis color palette! And here's what I got so far:

Did somebody say "Emerald Tileset"? Well, not exactly emerald, more like gemstone, but I think it gets the job done.
Seriously though, such a coincidence two of us worked on something gemstone related.
