I looked at Knux' recent posting history. He's not been inactive at all to fear him being absent.

Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why.

If you are referring to the old SMBX users, then almost all of them have moved on. Joey (Shadow Yoshi) is the probably the only one left I think.
Not to brag, but I still exist...kind of...I think

Just currently waiting for certain things to happen, hopefully sooner than later.

Hopefully the 2 year old ban appeal on discord is sorted so I can actually talk to people again, it was nice.

I just keep forgetting about here, well, not recently, somehow I check here almost everyday lately even though I have avoided this place for the past 2 years like you'd avoid a wildfire. I guess the curse of SMBX is real.

I don't think its really a bad thing that most of the OGs are gone and new users are taking their place. It's just how generations works.

A good number of folks are still around, just on Discord. That's how it is with the talkhaus as well, and I imagine with most online communities; the kind of posts and interactions that work best on forums stay on the forums while all other types of communication move to the platform best suited for them, and if some people don't do much of the former anymore they just migrate to the latter. It's a natural progression thing.
Some people just cannot avoid the ads on MediaFire, even with both common sense and popup blockers. It's always a good idea to provide an alternate download link with an ad-free file host such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

I do music, graphics, lua, birthdays, bachelor parties, bar mitzvahs, long walks on the beach, driving through the scenic countryside with my fabulous mutlicolored mustache flowing in the wind, living life on the edge and not playing by the rules, awkwardly standing in the corner of the room with my GBC during important company meetings, all my own stunts and baking cookies with criminally-high quantities of butter

It wasn't him doing that. Several accounts were deactivated through a security gap, after which people were forced to change their passwords. Danny, Knux and glitch4 got to reactivate their accounts, while Snessy didn't bother, I mean he was already gone a long time before that.

Do we know why just those 4 accounts were deactivated and no-one else lost their account temporarily?

The accounts were forced to reactivate so they can't be used or viewed until they are reactivated. Everyone's posts are still there and nothing was lost.

So many users seem to be getting banned recently. From people with less than 30 posts to over 1k, this seriously worries me.

In addition to my post in the "Things you don't get" thread, I'd say none of the bans were wrong. (at most I just wonder why DarkMatt's incident at Codehaus carried over to a forum ban)
