But that doesn't change whether or not Nintendo likes what the people are doing.

I think if Nintendo doesn't end these fan projects they can get a better view on what people want instead of throwing another New Super Mario Bros. at us, which is what they will most likely do.

Why would Nintendo get a better view what people want if they end those fan projects?
There are amazing fanmade games like newer and i am sure nintendo heard atkeast about some of them.

Right now, I would do anything to get something other then New Super Mario Bros.3, except hotel Mario 2, but you get the point right?
New Super Mario Bros was New ,NSMB2,NSMBW,and NSMBU changed almost NOTHING and they were not new.
Now look at the original 4 ,SMB1,SMB2,SMB3 and SMW all changed almost everything except the general concept, except 2 which changed EVERYTHING from the way you kill enemies to the way you pick up a mushroom.

I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't like someone playing their games at high speed. How does that make the game look bad? I'd be impressed if someone could beat my game that quickly.

Good point, although its probably so people don't realize how easy their games have gotten.

Nintendo's logic:
>"Let's make a game"
>>Makes game
>>>Game makes good money
>>>>Said game is forgotten over time
>>>>>Nintendo makes no money off of that game anymore
>>>>>>"Let's attack people who do not infringe on our profit"

So why is everyone saying "hurr durr Nintendo is dumb they'll only lose money" when they're paying people to make these decisions and those people are almost certainly more qualified than them?

I mean yeah, it's really not a choice I support, but they had a reason to do that.

Why do they even care for ROM hacks? Most of their games (Pokémon) are targeted toward 8-10 year olds who don't even know ROM hacking is an actual thing or cant figure out how to get them to work.

Rom-Hacking is only cool if the rom itself doesn't suck monkey ass.

I don't think Nintendo's goal is to make the hardest games out there. I mean their target audience is kids, you know.

actually i've known how to use roms/romhack since I was 9 xd

But yeah, I can understand why Nintendo would be mad about, say, hacks of Wii games (they're still available on the e-Shop) but NES games that are over 30 years old? Why not allow those?

I actually have the exact opposite opinion - I have no idea how you would get a NES rom without going online and downloading it online (plus you can buy those on the e-shop too), but I see no problem with Wii hacks seeing as it's easy to get the rom without downloading it online and play it on an actual wii.

Apparently it's possible to dump the ROM off of an actual NES cartridge and put it into a computer, but who even does that :V

I dont even think you would be able to get these as roms if this or something similar didn't exist.

Maybe its about time we all find an alternative to youtube?
[01:17:53] <Exiled_Bowser> Finally! I do not get a damn "2" added to my name when I dc and reconnect.
[01:19:18] <Exiled_Bowser> Bowser's Exile 2 will not be out or will ever be out for years! That is a Joke folks...I have no intention of making a second when I haven't even done the first to completion yet.

Speaking of which, just check out the thread for my Episode Project right here!

Sry i though Youtube was there to watch stuff no matter what it is.

I rather watch a rom-hack then someone who makes horrible videos.

I'm sorry? Was that an affront to my channel (I'm sure I can be found on youtube easily as I use the same name there) with nothing save a vid of me wanting to put stuff up for my channel in the future and a video with a music file trying to figure out what game (if it did) it came from?

I didn't ask for your input on that. I'm merely saying there may be a place where we can put all our stuff in peace without the Big N starting shit with us.
