Frosted Koopa Field

This is a simple snow level involving frozen Koopas that you can stand on. I was originally gonna make this the first level of a New Year's themed episode but I figured I wouldn't finish it on time, so I'm posting this on its own. Credit to Valtteri for their graphics pack, which was used for the gr...

Maybe set up the actual file of that sound in the .ini as well could work?

EDIT: Wait, are you testing your level with the PGE engine?
I tried what you suggested and it unfortunately didn't work. Also I'm testing it with LunaTester.

Thanks for the advice, but when the player unlocks the path, the decorations are removed by the path. :p
Wow, I didn't know that before now! I guess you really do learn new things every day.

Re: Help needed with custom sound effects! (SMBX 2)

Thank you so much for the help! I was replacing the "sound/soundname.ogg" with something like "worlds/worldname/1-1/soundname.ogg" since I thought I would have to write it out relative to the sounds.ini file in the data folder. Also, I sadly have no other ideas for fixing your issue other than using...

Re: Help needed with custom sound effects! (SMBX 2)

Maybe by using an exit type that goes on for longer (for example, the SMW goal tape) the sound won't be cut off? I'm not too sure that that'll work, but I think it's worth a try. Also, I actually need YOUR help because I don't understand how you were able to replace any sound effects. I've looked at...

Re: Mario&Luigi: Bowser's Reign

This is really cool! I look forward to playing it once it's done. One small problem, though. I think the map would look better without any decorations under the paths, It makes it look like the decorations are just flat pictures on the ground. Other than that, this looks awesome!

Re: restricting yoshis

I don't think there is actually a way to do that in the vanilla game but it might be possible using lua, I'm not too sure about that either though.
However, if yoshi is required throughout your entire level, the setup in this screenshot could work.

Minor PGE issue

When I put the sounds.ini file in custom level folders to change the sfx, the level starting sound is always cut off on every level I play test, even if the file isn't in its custom folder. Anyone know the reason why this is happening? Thanks in advance.

Re: Mario and Luigi's house from Superstar Saga (WIP)

Update 4 Added the beds, hammer, plant, coat hanger, and entrance background. Now that the inside of the house is done, I'm moving on to the front yard. The next update will probably be the last! https://i.imgur.com/6df6lW4.png https://i.imgur.com/pQwglEw.png Original: https://i.imgur.com/bcehCff.p...

Re: Mario and Luigi's house from Superstar Saga (WIP)

Hey fellas! Sorry for not responding to any of your comments, I was away for a while. New update coming soon, though! Wow! It's really faithful to the original. Good job. Maybe you could try and make the front yard with the clothesline and those other details. I was actually planning on doing the ya...

This looks pretty good, nice work! Is the 8-bit Mario included in the download too?

Oh, I forgot! Sorry for that.
I just put 8-bit Mario in the pack (it has to be in the pack anyway).
Thanks :)

Update 3

Hey guys! I know it's been a while since update two, and by a while a mean over a month, but I've added the bathroom since then. Here's a screenshot and a comparison. Let me know what you think could be improved!

Re: World Map Help

PGE If you're using PGE aka SMBX 2, open the world map itembox window and select the paths tab. This is where all the path tiles are. I think you already knew all this but I just wanted to make sure. Re: Autoscrolling help

Unless you are using autoscroll.lua in SMBX2 you need to start an autoscroll in an event that is set to trigger on level start. If your episode has "restart last level on death" checked, bear in mind that due to an oversight all autostart events are skipped on reload after death, causing your autos...

Autoscrolling help

I'm trying to trigger autoscrolling with an event after a coin is collected (when the coin layer is empty, the event is triggered,) but it just isn't working. Is autoscrolling only possible in the level start event? If you know the answer, please tell me. Thanks in advance!

Re: Mario and Luigi's house from Superstar Saga (WIP)

Update 2 I added the kitchen and also altered the colours of the fence, stairs, and bathroom tiles to better match the original. I can't post any screenshots at the moment, but I'll add one to this message once I can! Edit: Here's a screenshot. Also, I might move the kitchen around a little bit lat...

Re: Mario and Luigi's house from Superstar Saga (WIP)

The Graphics are nice, its interesting when people make 2d version of graphics meant to be potrayed as 2.5D/3D. I am excited for more updates, good job! Now that's a Background image that's 100% faithful to the original source from the hit 32-bit GBA Game: Mario & Luigi RPG 1! Thanks guys! Your kin...

Re: [RESSOURCE] SMW Bonneton

This looks REALLY awesome. Good job! One minor complaint, though. The towers look a little flat. Maybe they'd look nicer if some more shading was added to the sides.
