It is possible to make a showcase of npcs/blocks/powerups into an actually fun level this is nothing more then a power up showcase that is barely a level and the battle level kind of looks the same though at least that could be interesting since it is a fight between two players rather than a level ...

Don't see why you can't just use the clocks Enjl made that add to the timer since it would accomplish the same thing except with the time freeze the player wouldn't know how much time has been extended because the timer is frozen.

That's exactly the reason why it's taking so long lol I already get regular lotus working, but Hungry Lotus variant is giving me a bit of trouble atm because I wanted to instakill player without spawning the effect, and any stuff I tried atm will break in one corner case or another. What a coincidence that flame chomp was released when it was brought up that it needed to be remade. Anyway for a lava lotus NPC pack instead of just doing the original lava lotus from SMB3 they could have all these lava lotus variants in SMWC that you can find here . Though it might be more suited ...

Well, Novarender I know worked on a Flame Chomp, but its currently either canceled or paused, since Novarender pretty much worked for like a Month in CCX1 It would have been great to have a more up to date version of the Flame Chomp just like how IAmPlayer made a more up to date version of the Angr...

We already have a Lakitu that throws Red Spinies that has no vertical movement just like in SMB3...the SMB1 Lakitu. Lots of Yoshi Island NPCs lately. Planning on making any more SMW2:YI NPCs since there is a lot more NPCs I could look forward to that aren't in base game like Yoshi Island Shy Guys and there Lantern Ghost counterparts would be nice to see someone make.

I'm also looking to create a personalized hud though mine I want more like SMB All-Stars. I'm not as familiar with the lunalua language and not sure what code you would use to move and add things to the hud so any tutorials for that would help.

This reminds me of 1AmPlayer's firebars with all the different options. Also to make a suggestion how about doing the Pendulum Ball N' Chain from SMWC since it is related.

I use to make levels in Mario Builder too. In fact there were two games I was working on in that engine though in both of them I only finished up to the first world and a little beyond that before stopping working on them and then losing them from my laptop dying. Might revive those projects as SMBX...
