Re: Foggy Night

I would like to play the level but for some reason 7-zip is having problems unzipping the .rar for some reason which is something I haven't encountered before.

Re: [RESSOURCE] SMW Bonneton

That's a shame. I am trying to find a good Cappy Kingdom tileset for the level I plan to work on in the future and I do like the designs of the city in this tileset. Maybe you could DM the maker of this tileset and try to get them to send you a download link? I would think he would respond to the p...

Re: SplitUp.lua: NPCs that split upon death

It's all documented in the file according to the OP. Also you can't use luna.lua files until Beta4 (there's a slightly different naming scheme in Beta3). You could probably also PM the creator and ask if they could send you the code used in the GIF Guess I'll have to wait until Beta 4 since this an...

Re: Wham Bam Toilet Hand- FlatKiwi's level thread

Wham Bam Toilet Hand definitely has a Link's Awakening feel from the platforming sections. Each area of the Well dungeon felt unique and even though all the enemies in it are just reskins those enemies exist in both Link's Awakening and the Mario series so they felt a lot more natural compared to ot...

Re: the lack of vanilla episodes

Vanilla levels have some kind of particular charme, they feel pure and send back to the SMBX "primordial" ages, and well people can have this nostalgic feeling, but let's be realistic, custom assets are SMBX's force and not taking advantage of this power can be counterproducing. But if the vanilla ...

Re: the lack of vanilla episodes

That is why for the release of Beta 4 there should be a vanilla contest for it where you can only use the default features of Beta 4 (although maybe with the option of having custom music so the music doesn't get to repetitive). Having custom music kinda ruins it though in that the idea of vanilla ...

Re: Enemies

Unfortunately Clawgrip is not on the claimsheet and Triclyde isn't coming out in Beta 4. Also someone needs to add the red and green variations of birdo for I would imagine those wouldn't be too hard to code in.

Re: SMBX Turning 10 in 2019

The original SMBX editor is limited, but not to the point where we couldn't have a content with it...it's quite a fitting idea imo I would prefer to have a contest in beta 4 instead. Me too. We would have much better levels. Like the ones in SMBX Contest Greatest Hits, they are very nice, and I thi...

Re: SMBX Turning 10 in 2019

Like the contest could use Beta3 if Beta4 isn't out which would be better than 1.3. Also people using 1.3.0.1 could still contribute since 1.3 levels are compatible with Beta3, no reason to have the contest require use of 1.3.0.1 So make it like every other gimmickless contest then. Guess I will ju...

Re: SMBX Turning 10 in 2019

There are still a lot of people the use 1.3.0.1 to make episodes in given how I noticed there aren't as many 2.0 episodes being worked on compared to the 1.3.0.1 episodes so if there was a contest in 1.3.0.1 I am sure there will be people that would participate in it. Also if we wait until Beta 4 wh...

Re: SMBX Turning 10 in 2019

The contest should be 'make a level using the very first build of smbx', which can be found on MFGG Sounds like a joke, but making a level in 1.0 is just a horrible way of making levels. You would be asking people to make a level in the legacy editor of the legacy editor and no, in this case, 2 neg...

none of the things i use in my levels are on Beta 4, otherwise you wouldn't be playing them! :p
I didn't think those blocks were in the beta at all since it looked like the filter blocks you go through in beta 4 would do that instead and that you just coded up the blocks function in Lunalua.

Re: SMBX Turning 10 in 2019

If you guys want to do a SMBX anniversary contest why not make it one where you can only use vanilla SMBX 1.3.0.1 to recreate the days back before the code of the game was cracked by lunalua back when people said SMBX was impossible to mod talk about how the times change.

Re: The Great Empire X

So The Great Empire X (makes it sound like it is the tenth installment rather than the fourth) looks to be a kaizo episode. Do you even plan on making an episode in 2.0 once it is further in development.
