how to get started with lua coding?

does SMBX have an editor where I can mess with code and try to make stuff, or do I have to download something else. I wanted to try making a mount that's like the bird from DKC2 that carried you and shot eggs

for like events to change the song from one custom one to the other, I remember you couldn't do that in SMBX1, and SMBX2 doesn't really seem like it, but I don't know entirely

I remember in SMBX 1, I had the platforms that fell on rails on their own without the player stepping on them, but switched to non depricated version, is there any platforms that fall on rails without players having to step on them? When testing levels, is there a way to change the amount of stars you have?

I need to test if you can go to and from doors with star requirements in levels in my episode, but it's kinda hard to do that with it always starting me at 0, kinda wish you could change it in the debug menu

This is a warning. It comes up in the edtior, when a level is doing something wrong that won't work, and gives you information about what's wrong. These messages can help in identifying unexpected behaviour. The lines with a number and t at the start are the beginning of a new entry. In this case, ...

I don't think VSMBX is going to catch on. It's going to be outclassed by PGW when the engine gets released. PGW is the true spiritual successor to SMBX as it comes with loads of new features, unlimited blocks/BGOs/NPCs/warps, layering BGOs on each other without random ones being drawn to the front ...
