Is it possible to extend an area's boundry zone with events?

Been a little while since I used Smbx, trying to get back into it with the 2.0 beta client. I've had an idea for a level but I'm unsure if what part of what I want to do is even possible (with or without lua). So every area you set a boundry box, I don't suppose there's a way to make the boundry box...

Out of curiousity, has anyone made Horizontal moving Thwomps, or the ability to have Diagonal projectiles (Aka Mario 3 Cannons)? If not, where should I start about trying to code these myself?

Ah so it was that the effect file doesn't like the NPC's height change? Okay, 8 pixels higher graphics but a 32 height hitbox shouldn't cause any problems, thanks for the help. :) I'll have to keep that in mind for the future, so does that mean making say, the giant goombas from Mario 3 would be imp...

Effect graphic not quite lining up

So I've made a Goomba edit with NPC-2, which works fine, but the death animation Effect-6 isn't appearing on the ground but in the air. I've tried it with 40 height (the new goomba's height), 32 height like it used to be.. I can't seem to get it to appear just above the ground like a squashed goomba...

Which block does Tanooki statue reveal?

I've never used the Tanooki suit's abilities in my levels and thought about checking it out, if I understand it's only one kind of block that it will reveal, not any block with the invisible tag? What's the ID of the block?

Ah that would be quite easy to do. Just for clarification then, the only way to trigger those moving platforms outside of something like LunaDLL is the corresponding coloured switch?

I know this should be pretty basic but I'm having a silly moment here, how do you trigger the on/off platforms that follow the lines? I know you can do it with a switch block.. somehow, can you also do it with other events? For instance talking to an NPC?

Example, I put all 5 Dragon coins on their own layer, can I have an event that triggers after collecting them all, ie "No objects in layer" and make it so it warps the player character somewhere?

Well I have cannons and such which I want to have the smoke poof, just not generated NPCs. But I assume they both use the same effect file so replacing it with a blank wouldn't work?

Projectile NPCs Smoke effect

Is there a way to stop Projectile Generated NPCs from making the smoke poof when they spawn? Without removing the effect altogether?

I figured I might be able to somehow use the No Smoke option in events but... unsure, is this possible?

So I set up an NPC with nogravity=1 and make it a generator that launches horizontally? Wouldn't that just make it go straight left or right?

I'm very new to doing anything with layers, the most I've done is make blocks move. I'd be happy to just make the basic diagonal firing cannon right now but thinking about how to do it is making my head hurt a bit. ^^

I've noticed SMBX doesn't have the Diagonal shooting cannons from Mario 3, or the more complicated rotating quad-cannon, is it possible to make either of these?
