cmon, what is not to love about the art form known as kaizo? How about the fact that kaizo level design is rooted in trial-and-error game-play, which is inherently frustrating and would not be allowed in any professional video game? Even games like Super Meat Boy generally do a good job of conveyin...

Not brown ones.
Actually, brown ones can still be attached to NPCs, but they only move horizontally. Theoretically, this quirk could be used to make interesting non-LunaLua effects or obstacles.

Yes, it happens each time the thread gets bumped and I click "view first unread post," and it only happens with that thread.

Thing with LunaLua is that you can do things that cannot be done with just events and layers That's not my point. My point was that people who are used to Events see LunaLua as being more complex, so despite the greater possibilities, they stick with Events. Like I said earlier: I wasn't trying to ...

LunaLua is incredibly simple...If people don't learn it (at least at a basic level), they're mostly lazy. Frankly? In a lot of ways LunaLua is easier than Events, so you could make the same argument there...I personally wouldn't even know where to begin. Heck, I literally don't even use events beca...

I can't say for certain, but there have been times where I'd upload something to MediaFire and send it exclusively to one person via PM, but the file would end up with 2-3 downloads.

Personally, I remember coming across more Lakitu bosses than Big Boo bosses (Apocalypse of Foroze, Super Mario Star Expedition, and SMWCX all have Lakitu bosses), but then again, I don't think I've played that many SMBX episodes. I will say one thing: more can be done with a Lakitu boss than with a ...

Actually, only NPCs should be on that layer since there's no way to collect or kill a block (I'm not even sure if it would work with blocks that turn into coins during the effects of a P-Switch).

I remember my brother bought some bootleg Yu-Gi-Oh cards a few years ago. We had a great time reading the mistranslations: "If this card no Imperial Palace, it destroyed. Each turn, the opponent's monster will be ruined dub to the war."

Lua is a very popular programming language it's SUBSTANTIALLY better to use something like LunaLua than SMBX Autocode or Teascript.vbs You seem to be misunderstanding us (or at least me). Although Lua is a popular programming language and is better than certain other languages, the fact remains tha...

In the future of SMBX, will there also be this dichtomy of the minority who create custom stuff, and the majority who is at their mercy (I don't mean mercy in a cruel sense, but I can't think of another word) to gain it? Like, are prefab resources going to be the best most users can do with LunaLua...

I dunno if people here have ever played DOOM. No, not that DOOM , the original DOOM. I don't think that counts as a game that most people don't know exist (especially since, as you wrote, the franchise is still getting games to this day, and the original games still have an active modding community...

The entire Mother series. This series is definitely not unknown at all any more thanks to Smash. Then where's the community besides the marginally active Starmen.net? There's a difference between a game being unknown and a community being inactive. I know about the Mother series and have even beate...
