With which version of SMBX should I play this episode?
That is the recommended version, yes, but SMBX2Pal is also an option. Though, if you want the most stability, then Beta 3 is your safest bet.

This.

Amazing action platformer! One of my favorite Dragon Ball games ever! Gameplay, graphics, and music were all top notch! I have many great memories from this game. Hopefully some of you were lucky enough to have this game too.

Well finally got some BGOs added. As of now, it only consists of recolors, but I still think they look good. https://i.imgur.com/i8S0Fwt.png I would like to expand and add more to this tileset, but I have been pretty inactive when it comes to SMBX. At least, at the moment. So far now, I'm done with ...

Well I've been pretty busy with other things, but I've finally gotten around to this and have most of the foreground done.

I also plan on reshading various SMB3 background objects to match this more as well. Mainly, I'd like some feedback on what I have so far.

20 points to the first accurate source guess
Idk the source, but it reminds me of the green, SMB3 background tile from the battle games. Overall it looks great, and as PopYoshi said, some of the outlines (mainly the slopes) look bigger than others.

A small update for you guys. I added graphics from Level 1 of Castlevania. I also updated some readmes, and will continue to do so till the next update. https://i.imgur.com/S0es6TX.png I plan on having most of the graphics for SMB3 on NES, and adding some from SMB2 for NES. And with summer break her...

This looks pretty fantastic! Incorporating visuals and objects found within the levels themselves into the world map is a great idea. It also makes each area in the world map stand out more and look more distinct. Well done!

Yeah but who actually cares about clash Edit: Complaining about silly graphic mismatches isn't something that rational people do. Instead we should all focus on complaining about actually bad level design That's a little insulting to say rational people don't care about clash. As I said in my post ...

The screenshots look good enough, but I must agree, the HUD displays way too much. It looks too distracting, with all of that unnecessary information. Other than that, good job.

Sweet, an update. I've been going through your episode a bit (before the update). I was just wondering if you'll remove some of the background objects (such as bushes), as they are used too excessively, at least in the earlier levels. Besides that, I don't have much to critique atm.

I could include more powerups when I update the eisode, but I would like to know if that is necessary.
Honestly, I haven't gotten around to playing it, but I will start today. Hopefully I can provide input on this soon.
