If anyone has a copy of the first edition of the game, please share.
I still have a ZIP file from August 2012 on my computer.

Re: Worst games ever made

The bigger problem with Mega Man 3 is that there are a number of spots where you might get stuck with no way to die, and have to reset the game, all because you ran out of Rush Coil or Rush Jet: * Doc Robot (Spark Man) - The ladder in the beginning is removed, and you might die before reaching the h...

Re: What's happening in your own life?

Around 90 minutes ago, I got a call from a man whose house had an emergency leak. One problem...I think he dialed the area code incorrectly. If only someone from British Columbia was able to assist someone in Georgia when their house is leaking. I couldn't even talk to him because I was at wo...

Mega Man 3's weapons were: Top Spin: Good in concept, ruined by rushed programming Search Snake: Actually good wall and floor crawling weapon Magnet Missile: Actually good homing weapon but uses too much energy Gemini Laser: Bouncing laggy buster clone Needle Cannon: Buster clone Hard Knuckle: Slig...

Re: Worst games ever made

Mega Man 3 (Unbalanced and unfinished with the Doc Robot stages being frustrating filler levels) Not really. I consider Mega Man 3 to be the best of the NES Mega Man titles. The Doc Robots were different for the series, but those stages were still very playable. I can see why someone would consider...

despite climate change and clowns Beijing ruling the world, on a private level I'm looking forward to the new decade The "clowns" have been giving in to Beijing's demands in recent years, but that's another thread. Re: What's happening in your own life?

We just got a new Nintendo Switch a day early from my brother's birthday. New Super Mario U Deluxe included. In terms of retro gaming, I bought a Famicom plus the Disk System last month (starting with Final Fantasy I, II, and III; plus the original SMB2 on disk, while I'm still waiting for Bomberman...

Re: What's happening in your own life?

Family plans are delayed due to snowy roads. My parents were supposed to come from hundreds of miles away and arrive Friday evening. They were able to drive over most of the mountains, the first of which is the most notorious...but somehow it's the final mountain pass that has a road closure, and no...

Re: Log in issues?

I've stopped entering the forums link directly. I usually go to the SMBX home page and then the forum after that, and I haven't had login problems since doing that. I'm not sure what goes on with my phone. When I use a mobile internet browser, there are times that I can't log into anything, and site...

Re: This Picture Will Confirm If We Are in a New Generation of SMBXers

If I had to decide, every 7-8 years at the most between each SMBX generation, or maybe the average gap between the start of every new video game console generation. SMBX was first released in 2009, so we'd definitely be into a new generation by this point.

Re: How do you like to use your controllers?

My Xbox 360 controller is mapped the way I'd probably map a Super Nintendo or Wii classic/Switch controller. It allows me to switch between SMBX and Super Mario World with no problem at all. If I used the defaults, it would be like pressing B for a spin jump and A for a regular jump if you were on a...

Re: YouTube is deleting channels that doesn't make money!

I found a video, and it says it was uploaded by a law firm. The first 2 minutes and the final 1/3 of the video suggest that nothing much is really changing (at least in terms of profitability). What happens now still could have happened under their old terms. If you can handle 32 minutes of listenin...

Re: YouTube is deleting channels that doesn't make money!

I looked at a Reddit thread about this. "Commercially viable" doesn't necessarily mean because of the lack of views or profit or whatever. * It could be because a channel turns advertisers away because of their offensive or political content. If one of the biggest YouTubers went on a political rampa...

Re: WTF Gaming moments

I played some Super Mario Bros. 3 just to test some other new audio/video cables on my NES, and since my brother came in to watch, I decided to continue for a bit longer. While I was playing World 3-3, the moving objects and sprites completely disappeared for half a second, leaving only the water an...

Re: What's happening in your own life?

I've already ordered a different cable with the same Genesis connector. If this one doesn't work either, it's most likely a problem with the Genesis itself. Success! The new connector works perfectly...and I'm either too slow at Sonic, or too fast to collect Chaos Emeralds. :x But that aside, the S...

Re: [NPC] Goomba Tower

I'm surprised with the delay they can bounce one after the other on the springboard, and yet they are still able to bounce off each other when the lowest one touches the lava tile. Not a critique, just something I didn't think would actually happen. Really nice one, and the look on the Goomba's face...

Re: [NPC Pack] Custom Rexes

3 hits to defeat certainly adds a challenge. This would be fun to play with. Now if it was based off an SMW Central Rex sprite (was the SMW sprite a Rex?), it sounds like that's also where the common Paratroopa wings came from. Regardless of originality, the different color between those wings and t...

If there's anything that you can do in SMW but not in the existing remakes, then it might still be worth a try.

That's different. I'm used to getting logged out whenever I close the window or wait an hour before returning, though I usually enter the direct link to the forum. This time I went to the main homepage, then to the forum, and I'm still logged in even though my last visit was the day before. But mayb...
