Re: Does anyone still use SMBX 1.3.0.1?

Thanks everyone for clearing this up! I'll probably just finish this project in 1.3.0.1 and maybe check out SMBX2 once I'm done just to see what new features they added. It's really cool that they made the latest version capable of playing 1.3.0.1 levels so old farts like me can stick with what they...

Does anyone still use SMBX 1.3.0.1?

I recently reinstalled it and have started working on a project I came up with the idea for way back, but from the looks and sounds of things nobody uses that version anymore and the different versions aren't compatible with one another. Should I just upgrade to one of the other versions? And if so,...

Re: Custom Sprite Glitch

Is that the exact spritesheet you're using? If so I can see why it's giving you problems. You will definitely want to get rid of some of the excess space around the sprites, and also it looks like the spritesheet you are using doesn't match the shy guy spritesheet you are trying to replace. That one...

Re: Super Mario World-Styled Intro

I personally don't use SMBX 1.4.4 and I usually stay away from world maps in my projects, but I'm pretty sure this is possible. What you'll want to do is create a small level for the intro to take place in. Under "Events" there should be a pre-made event called 'Level - Start' or something similar t...

Re: Question

Have you ever considered the legal implications of profiting off of user generated content created within a free unlicensed fan game? And if that isn't enough of a reason for you, remember that lots of kids use SMBX and some of them are kinda dumb/inexperienced and won't always necessarily know whic...

Re: Cheat Codes, Custom NPC Codes, Hidden NPC Tab

Is there an npc code to make the top of something slippery? Like a mushroom block or shy guy or something?

Re: SMBX 1.3.0.1

7zip has a bad habit of corrupting or hiding files when you try to open them That's the first I've ever heard of this... You sure it's not a conflict with Windows or something? I know Windows 10 fixed a lot of OS bugs that older software requires to run... It actually happened back when I used Wind...

Re: SMBX 1.3.0.1

Nobody uses winrar. People use 7zip. 7zip has a bad habit of corrupting or hiding files when you try to open them, so I really can't recommend it. Winrar on the other hand has never given me any problems despite constantly notifying me that I have yet to pay for a license. But hey, if people use 7z...

Re: Problem

Hey, my winzip has expired and i want to use SMBX myself, can you please make this game a non-zipped game? I know this is a month old but why don't you use WinRAR like everyone else? It is indeed free, despite what it might tell you. The only people who pay for licenses to use it are companies and ...

Mega Guy

This might be tricky, but I'm looking for a Super Mario Advance styled Mega Shy Guy to replace the Mega Mole. Preferably red.

Pipe Glitch

When I put down a pipe facing upwards that requires a specific amount of stars, Mario clips through it while trying to enter. Is there any way to fix this? P.S. This doesn't happen to small mario

A little confused with music

It seems that in the level editor of SMBX, you can only use music with a bit rate of less than 250(ish). If I am completely off here, somebody please let me know.
