Re: Is being Homosexual a choice?

A reminder (although for many people this might be the first time they hear about it) that the heterosexual-homosexual dichotomy is a fairly recent invention. This should prove to be an interesting read for anyone who is unfamiliar with the history of homosexuality (particularly section 4 is of grea...

Re: Ghostly Gorge

Thank you for the feedback, Magus! I agree with all the points you showed in this review, some of them aren't thoughts that I has about when I was doing the level... But you're right about! Oh yeah, forgot to mention this initially, but you might want to change the way you use the ghost house tiles...

Re: Ghostly Gorge

Hey, pretty decent level you got there! There's a few things about this level that I like quite a bit, but there's a few subpar moments and stylistic inconsistencies that hinder the experience for me. Style: Choice of graphics: I really liked the darkened canyon tileset coupled with the cacti. In ge...

Re: Chanceful Coast (old level)

I don't see how I was saying exactly what you were trying to say, I was saying the complete opposite. My stance is on the side of Magus and snorunpyro and I disagree with your view on how to weigh criticism in a review. I think Magus summed it up best and there shouldn't have been a "but". Lol beca...

Re: Chanceful Coast (old level)

I agree with this review for the most part, although I don't think "creativity" should be such a major factor. I disagree with this. Would you rather play a level with a gimmick you've never or rarely seen before or the same old cgfx-spam castle/ruins/grassland/volcano level? I'd take a level with ...

Re: Chanceful Coast (old level)

This level was quite nice to play. It wasn't a hugely innovative level, but as a beach/underwater level, it did what it had to do well enough. Aesthetically, it's more of a mixed bag, though, and I feel like while you definitely tried something interesting in that regard, you didn't necessarily succ...

Re: Crimson Thicket

Well, at least it didn't go in the trash can, i'm glad to hear that. Also, i could agree that i was a bit lazy with the enemy placement. Just saying, notice the pipe colors, the orange ones can't be entered and the yellow ones can be entered. So i actualy did show of that you can enter some of them...

Re: Crimson Thicket

Hey, I'll make an attempt at reviewing this level. I see you're new to posting levels in this community, but I have to say that you're doing well for a beginner. There are no major flaws in level design, stylistically it's mostly fine, you basically nailed the basics of designing levels. However, in...

Re: Serene Cavern

Serene Cavern: Official Review This level is certainly fascinating. It begins as a simple water cave, but once you explore deeper, it reveals its true colors and tries some intriguingly unique aquatic gimmicks, a few of which I'm pretty sure I've never even seen before. Bubble BGOs attached to the ...

Yeah, that might be right. I will replace the coin with a 1-up somehow and replace the coin to a better place

Re: Industrial Infiltration

Right, silly me. I actually had some points regarding tricky areas which I somehow forgot to mention in the review: [rimg]http://i.imgur.com/5aUpOXd.png[/rimg][rimg]http://i.imgur.com/8enHDB8.png[/rimg] These two areas I found to be particularly tricky. While getting the dragon coin isn't required,...

Re: Industrial Infiltration

Review time: You're meeting all of my standards, help. Allow me to gush about this level for a bit before moving on to criticism, because this definitely is a refresher from all the monotonous and repetitive levels I see around here. This level does so much stuff right it's ironic how a level from ...

Btw, warp 16/17 has a wrong entrance- and exit direction.
However it's a very nice Level!
Oh, thanks for notifying me. It should be fixed now.

Re: Serene Cavern

Judging fir the screens, the level looks nice and detailed. I will play this later. I suggest you darken the background because the background has same color with the tileset. The background's already darker than the tileset. I would have made it a little darker, still, but I couldn't find any colo...

Serene Cavern [Re-Review]

Another one. I made this level right after I finished Industrial Infiltration, but didn't release that one until I got this one done since uh, I wanna make sure people who are new to my levels aren't scared off from anything after Industrial infiltration, haha. This level's basically just of the wat...

Industrial Infiltration

This is the first level i designed and completed in literal years. Let's see if I still got it. Anyway, this is a factory level and it's very difficult, so please do download it, but know what you're in for. It is, as far as I can tell, the hardest level I publicly released (also did some levels for...

Re: Screenshot thread number NEIN (9)

Pumpkin Gardens http://i.imgur.com/JjlDXda.png Looks nice. You might want to consider darkening the tileset, though. Seems like a darker shade of brown would fit the rest of the level better, although I might be wrong. Also put trunks under the bushes that are on the SMB3 cave tileset, right now it...
