Re: The Last of Us Part 2

Yup, it's just a game. I loved it and others didn't. Death threats are never okay. I think the actors gave a great performance. Ashley Johnson did not disappoint, and Troy Baker as well. I wasn't the biggest fan of Abby at first, but Laura Bailey did great with her character and so did Ian Alexander...

Re: The Last of Us Part 2

A lot of the team have been getting death threats unfortunately. I don't know the context around her bots comment, but these types of people should never be acknowledged.

Re: The Last of Us Part 2

Alright so I finished the story on Moderate difficulty. The AI was just like it was in the trailers and not underwhelming at all. Non-infected enemies do consistently refer to each other by name, the combat (except for melee imo) is very solid. The infected enemies are much more of a threat which is...

Re: COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

It could have been over with by now. We instead chose to have our usual language fight over the name, politicized wearing a mask as either tyrannical or effeminate, and our electoral system is so far in the gutter the amount of deaths will be a non-insignificant factor for the upcoming presidential ...

Re: COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Regarding Stefan Lanka, I support his version that wireless connections and electrical devices are harmful to health. We are bioelectrochemical beings: this means that electromagnetic radiation affects us whether we want to or not. We are influenced by electromagnetic radiation destabilizing our ow...

Re: What about the Profile Pictures of banned users?

A group can have a set avatar and rank. The Banned Users group has the Mario avatar and the "Banned" rank.

Re: COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

I don't think that will be realistic as a habit outside of a pandemic. Maybe wearing masks will be more common at nursing homes, but outside of that I'm not sure because remember they help keep germs in and not out which isn't too helpful normally. There is only so much that can be done remotely too...

Re: What does your browser fingerprint look like?

Here's what mine looks like: https://i.postimg.cc/RqXnHG4w/Browser-Fingerprint.png Funny thing is, this is the same result for both my Firefox browser & my Opera browser with VPN activated. If you go into about:config on FF and set privacy.resistFingerprinting to true that should help your results.

Re: What does your browser fingerprint look like?

It says my browser is not protected against anything (totally didn't expect that result). What are the risks, and do I have better options than running their privacy badger? The risk is being easier to track for targeted advertising. Privacy Badger isn't necessary though. The big things to do are g...

I also prefer cold weather, but I do like rain. Here in Florida last winter was like 2 weeks and then it got hot again. It's awful.

Ruffle - Flash emulator

GitHub repo: https://github.com/ruffle-rs/ruffle Adobe Flash will reach end of life by the end of the year and Newgrounds is sponsoring the development of a Flash Player emulator using WebAssembly (wasm). A lot of old animations and games could be lost, but if this project goes well it could preserv...

Re: YOU KNOW WHAT PISSES ME OFF? (Thread #2)

It typically happens when there's conflation of beauty with health. One of which is subjective, the other just isn't.

Re: Understanding Copyright, Licenses, and Applications to SMBX

Please don't believe all the "nintendo bad hate fangames" rumors and clout chasing tweets you see around Yeah, that kind of thing isn't what this topic is for. There's a general lack of awareness of the basics of how copyright works, and people don't really know their rights or Nintendo's rights an...

Re: Understanding Copyright, Licenses, and Applications to SMBX

So uh... people are supposed to ask Nintendo before making SMBX episodes? One should always ask the copyright holder for permission to use their work in a derivative work. source May I use Nintendo games/music/graphics/web site contents? We appreciate the interest in Nintendo and in all our video g...

Understanding Copyright, Licenses, and Applications to SMBX

From the outset, this guide is not intended to provide detailed legal information. This is an overview of copyright, digital rights, at a glance and how they relate to SMBX for when one wants to implement assets into projects and publish them in a responsible way. The "Is it Fair Use?" question is ...
