Re: Powerup Guard (Stay super!)

Oh... I wasn't even aware that altpsystem existed! Oops. Regardless, I've gave it a run and altpsystem lacks an accurate hurt animation; the normal animation of transforming into Small Mario is played, then once the animation is complete Mario is suddenly transformed back into Super Mario. It's a li...

Powerup Guard (Stay super!)

https://i.imgur.com/TDxBGQ7.gif In SMBX the player is downgraded to Small Mario when they take damage while under the effect of a Stage 3 power-up like the Fire Flower. Ever play some Mario Maker and get used to only being downgraded one stage when you take damage? That's what happened to me! Retur...

Re: SMBX2 PAL Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

I've found that setting a SMW Switch Platform on a generator causes a Lua crash, and setting a SMB3 Wooden Platform on a generator will lead it to always generate inactive even if set otherwise. I am using the .lvlx format, and the legacy platforms generate as expected. Am I doing something wrong, o...

Re: WIP Graphics Showcase 2

About grass tilesets. It's hard to make a ceiling if the top part is grass. So, 2 versions. I'm using one. Please pick the best one for me. http://i.imgur.com/lSRYiQh.png Easy, go with the left sizable. The shading on the right sizable makes it seem like there is a light source behind the grass. It...

Re: WIP Graphics Showcase 2

The right lava looks a lot better. The left lava is too grainy. Lava isn't dirt, it shouldn't be grainy.

I'm also using AdBlock(UBlock Origin, to be specific), and I've had issues with Mediafire redirecting me to different websites. You don't need to click on random stuff to get redirected by Mediafire. Proof: https://gfycat.com/PersonalDisastrousFanworms It has redirected me to more malicious websites...

Re: underground smb mistake

The original creator of SMBX, Redigit, doesn't work on SMBX anymore.
Besides, it was probably just a minor oversight while he was working on SMBX. SMBX was a buggy mess (Some things never change) and there were bigger fish to fry.

Re: Trying to find Graphics

Download the Community GFX Pack I find it hard to find stuff in there. It would be nice if it was sorted by games. And how to download? I though they turned it into a online repository. I can't find a bunch of 8-bit stuff in there. Go download the old version. It's already sorted by game. Also, her...

My desktop hasn't changed for a while.

It's organized and minimalist. Most of my shortcuts are in the start menu.

I haven't listened to most of his music yet, but I love what I've heard so far. Deep Six and The Dope Show are pretty addicting songs and the cover of Sweet Dreams AMOT is great.

Re: Opinions on your worst level made?

I've lost almost all of my levels over the years, but a few lucky ones that I saved to an SD card manage to survive. I don't know exactly how old this level is, but it's at least 4 years old. Probably 5 years old. http://i.imgur.com/hbnwhUp.png There are no CGFX because I only backed up the .lvl, bu...

Re: Forest Level

There is a lot of room for improvement here. 1. Your levels are way too short. The average standalone level should take over 2 minutes to complete at minimum. I know that it may get a bit boring to work on the same level for hours but the end result is almost always worth the time. 2. If the environ...

Re: Screenshot thread number NEIN (9)

The fences are SMB3 recolored :/ Other than looks good and detailed. and how exactly is this an issue? The top part of the fences don't have outline. That applies to most SMB1 BGOs and this is an SMB1 level. Even the original, non-recolored fence doesn't have a black outline on the top. It's fine.

Re: Screenshot thread number NEIN (9)

The fact that this isn't really a level, it's just a testing graphic thing. Isn't it weird if the green of the tileset doesn't match the green of the hills? It's supposed to match the background since it is different types of green. :/ http://i.imgur.com/Weie3jC.png The stripes look very disorienti...
