Willhart's LP thread.

I've been making LPs semi randomly for bit over a year now. I tend to play less known indie games, and I think I have pretty good setup by now for recording. I have also played some SMBX levels here . I'm up to playing, or at least trying to complete pretty much any level. Random stuff: One live (I ...

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

Here is the core concept for Juni since people don't seem to know how she works. Juni Core Concept This character is mainly made for metroidvania style levels, and to give level makers some easy tools for character progression for those. Her main strength is on the more unlinear levels that may have...

It could be neat to have a binoculars or something as a thing you can talk to to trigger that effect. Something you could place on the level at specific points.

Vertical screen wrap that is as good as the horizontal one, is one thing I remember wanting when I started making levels.

Re: Can remakes be considered "custom"?

Thonk about it. Having a level be customized just means it has been altered to better fit to someone, usually by adding some extra to the original. It does not have to be original work by the level designer. If you make a remake or adaptation, and aim it for those who like the source, then that is ...

As far as I understood yes. I wonder if it'll make for higher score or not.

Re: Japanese SMBX Contest - With Prizes! Judging HAS BEGUN!

I also would have liked a slightly higher score on the graphics. Those were all custom made for the level, and they also used a lot of animation and fit together well in my opinion. I guess the slowdown could have factored on this though.

Re: Japanese SMBX Contest - With Prizes! Judging HAS BEGUN!

Scaffolding of reality had some really nice gameplay and very cool gimmick. This would be my favorite of the two other ones. Pause was based on an existing game called pause ahead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlE95meXUhI It was well implemented but the smbx engine did not seem to handle the diff...

Iguzamini has work, so he'll be resuming his uploads on the 12th (JST). I'm excited to see my terrible level - I expect to get last place! Lol, I am expecting for you getting a last place because you have the "worst" level pfft. Good luck, I guess. I'm excited too. You have a good sense o...

I think that is nicer, since it can make for better video quality too, with no need for the chat taking part of the window.

Horizon is not literal Yeah, I think it 'Beta 4 is on the horizon' actually means 'We're currently working on Beta 4, hopefully it'll be out fairly soon' It means "a fix to one of the biggest stumbling blocks to Beta 4 is nearing completion and I expect it will be ready by the time MaGL X3 beg...

yes

You need to replace the custom graphic and not the npc one. I should hopefully be able to fix it in the future to work better.

New videos are here. May not be in order, since some take longer to edit.
