Re: SMBX2 BETA 4 Release - Feedback and Suggestions here!

Hello everyone and a happy new year. :) I would like to friendly ask if it is possible that the full release of SMBX 2 will be ready for download this year. If this is not possible, then of course I also like to wait longer and with pleasure for this version of SMBX 2. :) I'm thankful to everyone wh...

Re: SMBX2 BETA 4 Release - Feedback and Suggestions here!

Perhaps the devs just want to finish the game and give us the full release sooner. Whenever the full release of SMBX 2 is ready for download: I'm "very" looking forward to it. :) Development is taking long because everyone unexpectedly got really busy with other things. I would like to th...

Re: SMBX2 BETA 4 Release - Feedback and Suggestions here!

Why is the next beta/patch so slow?! Hello lan vuhoang. :) As far as I know, the next major release of SMBX 2 will be the full version of SMBX 2. I quote from the following link: http://codehaus.wohlsoft.ru/blog/2020/01/31/smbx2-beta-4-release-how-to-update/ "As of the new system, this version...

There's actually language support in the new editor! (PGE, used in SMBX2 as the main level editor). You can change the language by going to Help tab -> Language.
Thank you FutureNyanCat2014. :)

Re: SMBX2 BETA 4 Release - Feedback and Suggestions here!

After installing the latest version of SMBX 2 with a friend on his computer in germany, I thought I saw more text in german in the level - editor than in the level - editor in the version 1.3.0.1. We used the following link: https://www.supermariobrosx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=25151#p364...

Off - topic:

I’m thinking about why betas – like betas of SMBX 2 – are offered for download.

I think people with a beta version have a way to look forward to the full release. At the same time, tests can be carried out to test how different elements work. :)

I would think it's better if the koopalings used the New Super Mario Bros Wii design
That also would be good, of course. :)

Re: 2.0.0: What are you especially looking forward to?

I'm hoping for more NPCs (especially the rest of the SMB3 and SMW Koopalings). Do you think it’s possible that all Koopalings from SMB 3 in SMB 3 style are somehow available in 2.0.0? I ask specifically, because I would like to plan to integrate all Koopalings of this kind into my episode, which I ...

Re: SMBX2 BETA 4 Release - Feedback and Suggestions here!

The high workload is primarily a high workload in free time across 3 people. It's in no way comparable to what more people could do in the same amount of time, or we could do if we could afford to work a full time job or even a part time job on this, or even if we didn't also have other things we d...

Re: SMBX2 is too hard to use

I guess this is more of a preference thing. I personally prefer the 38A overlay (the 1.4.4 one. to be more precise) as well, but I know there are many people who prefer the PGE editor. I guess we're all just used to the engine we've been using for some time by now and would take time to get used to...

Re: SMBX2 is too hard to use

@ 1gnacio25: Welcome here. :) Basically the problems and the reason I don't use 2.0 are the overly complex interface and extremely long loading screens. It's not like 1.3 or 1.4 where all section events, tools and options were grouped into buttons and no loading screens for testing levels, while 2.0...

Re: SMBX2 BETA 4 Release - Feedback and Suggestions here!

The full download of SMBX 2 Beta 4 contains at any time all the patches and hotfixes for this version.

Is it right that after the full release of 2.0.0 this will also be the case for 2.0.0 and other official successors of this version?

Re: 2.0.0: What are you especially looking forward to?

Of course you’re right. :) So far I have (generally) preferred to use a full release, rather than not a full release. This has been because it is understandable that a full release contains fewer bugs than not a full release. (Of course, this does not mean that a full release is free of bugs and tha...
