Is there any way I could alter what Magikoopas turn Flip Blocks into? I'd like to get rid of the Fighter Flies, or just make them spawn less often.

This is something that was fixed in SMBX2 (I don't know much about 1.4), but the lack of undo and copy & paste buttons in 1.3's editor.

Dont copy the code. There's a small bug it seems: Planty doesn't work well with being big and crouching.

I never played Apocalypse of Foroze, but I played the level-long Abridged version where Foroze claims your level will double in popularity if it has alliteration in its name and if it has grass on logs.

World Maps in SMBX2

Right now, is there any difference between a regular World Map (.wld) and an Extended World Map (.wldx)? Or will there be? I know custom music isn't available yet (except in music.ini form).

SMB3 Bowser fights where you can only hit it with bombs. Honestly, bombs especially. It's one thing if it's any other grabbing-and-throwing object, but usually I feel the bombs wind up being more of an obstacle than Bowser himself! Custom Pallets

Are custom (not used in a specific game) pallets okay to use? Personally, I think so as long as they look decent enough, and fit whatever they're used for (examples include: not using dark colors for fire, light colors for a cave, etc.)
