Re: Rustic Dunes [Featuring LunaLua Fire Snake & Pile-Driver Micro Goomba]

That's nice. I only wish the Pile-Driver was able to do the sound when it's hitting the ground after a jump.

Not as tall as your level, and far more short too. The Angry Sun in 8-2 was really only here to create difficulties for the player when using the Jump Blocks, but yes, it's not a real issue, It's just my opnion.

Re: Nighttime Wasteland (CC12) (Contains Lua Angry Sun and Flame Chomp!)

Impressive. I just feel like the "angy sun" would be better used in a level with no more than a screen height because it seems it can't really follow the player beyond this limit. A bug about the magic vine. If we entered fast enough in the pipe after making the vine appear, it stops its ascent befo...

Re: Music very low in game

Music only, and ingame. Turning up the speaker is not a solution because the sound fx (like the ones for jumping, taking a coin, etc) would become unbearable. And like I said, the music is fine in the level editor or if I play them with windows mediaplayer.

Music very low in game

So I reinstalled SMBX but now the music is just very low.
The sound is okay.
Strangely, when listening the music for a level or a map in the PGE or SMBX editor, it's not low anymore, just ingame. How to fix it?

Re: Screenshot thread number NEIN (9)

That's look like a nice forest themed level, but I feel like the inside of the tree must be different of the "outside", it's too similar. Also bark dont grow inside the trunk, and it would be more like this:

Re: A Standard Grassland

I agree about Bullets Bill not being a common thing in a world 1 in any classic Mario game, but it's not like it exists a "Thou shalt have no bullet bill blaster in world 1" rule written in marble.

Re: A Standard Grassland

I see you added sizable block. You need to encourage the player to jump on it, like by placing some gold coins here. Make the sizable with a height of three blocks minimum, two is kinda low (Mario jump easily a height of 4 blocks), and combines at least two sizable blocks together if you wants to cr...

Is it possible to make a fireball shooted from a Fire Piranha melt the ice blocks like the player can with a fire flower?

Actually, I only did that for NPCs so no mixing. I guess I just gonna try with the ini. Thanks.

I'm trying to a create custom counter with the debugger, but it refuse to add any npc/block or bgo I choose, making the counter empty and useless. Any way to make it works?

Re: A Standard Grassland

This level having bill blasters, I think it fit more as a 1-3 level. Maybe you can add like 2 pipes as obstacles, some sizable blocks to make it less linear and someting like around ten more coins through the level.

Re: Arid Desert

That's a nice level, but some little things needs to be fixed. First, a png file is in the level forlder. It needs to be deleted or it will replace "block-80.gif" if using LunaLua, making appear some white where it must be transparent. Second, never use the SMB2 palmtree BGO in front of a sizable bl...

Re: Doopliss NPCs

Good job with the sprites. The graphic style makes me think it would suit more to a SMW graphics themed, maybe even a YI one.
