Re: Squishy Rex's CGFX Pack v1.8 (Hype Thrusters: Max Output)

So it's been nearly a year since the last update, what's happened with this Pack? Well, it has been slowly growing since the release of v1.8 and while there is no update in the near future, another massive update will occur, with the following changes: -The next update will jump to v2.0. - New conte...

Re: The "What happened to that SMBX user?" thread

Apparently someone was wondering where I disappeared to well, it turns out it was a place called real life, quite a magical place it is. Funny stuff aside, I'll be back soon, but being busy with real life, I may not be as active as I was, however I will still be around. I have things to sort out her...

Re: WIP Graphics Showcase 2

Honestly, I don't even think about it anymore, I guess like most things it just comes from practice. One thing I used to do, was draw something like say a "sun" on the same sheet that you're drawing the tileset on. This "sun" basically is a guide to show which direction the lighting is coming from. ...

Re: My TCG/CCG: Beta 2

I suppose in a way that could be bad, however, the art style I was going for, was similar to that of the artworks used in the earlier sets of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s first series. It's a much more simplistic manga style and it's something I prefer more so than say Magic for example. On that note, I don't want i...

Cool, I'm glad you like it, though I've never heard of the Munchkin or Infinity Wars games. I might have to check those out. Re: My TCG/CCG: Beta 2

Terminology and Rulings v1.3.2 Powerplay: Most Creature Cards come with 1 or more specific Powerplay(s) which can alter the game. Most are generally temporary, though some are permanent. A Creature’s Powerplay is written in the box at the bottom of the card. Disarm: A Creature that is “Disarmed” can...

My TCG/CCG: Beta 2

Dragoona Battles is a TCG/CCG game I’ve been working on for nearly 10 years. Many of the Creature cards included in this game are taken from the storyline of a book I was writing called “Dragoona Tales: Rise of the Dark Master”. The concept as a whole basically uses themed battle zones, Creatures/Ob...

Re: WIP Graphics Showcase 2

Beware the Undertoad! http://i.imgur.com/3a1zyfR.png Basically it's a monster of sorts which I created for my card game, however, I decided to sprite it as well, mainly because I was bored. The name itself is a portmanteau of "undertow" and "toad", which is pretty much how it operates. It lives, bur...

Re: Site Discussion Thread

This forum is much more likely to get taken down by Nintendo than any other Mario fansite, as it's a SMBX forum. What about smwcentral lmao? Just bc this is a smbx forum doesn't mean it's gonna be taken down. Stop. Actually on that note, SMWCentral is a good example in a way. They deal with ROMs an...

Re: Site Discussion Thread

If we were using it to make profits from copyrighted material then yes, it would almost certainly be shut down. Now, we are simply like SMWCentral and RvLution, a forum dedicated to a specific fan-game/engine/editor.

Re: Hardest Video Game Levels

I have a couple actually: -Pac-Man World: "King Galaxian" boss. Enemy spam, tractor beams, almost Touhou-like laser beams and a whole lotta rage. -Crash Bandicoot 1: "Stormy Ascent" removed level. I've played this one and it truly is hard, not quite at the point of being impossible, but I can certai...
