Re: The Great SMBX38A Level Contest III (The Finale?)

Curious if there are episodes featuring all the levels for the first and second contest.

Re: Eric Makes a Good Levels

Interesting concept for a level by being able to gain the abilities of the enemies you jump on. Only problems I had with the level were how the sound effect for jumping on the enemies seemed really loud compared to everything else and how it's each to get stuck if you mess up a ninji jump to a highe...

Will bowsette become a princess peach skin in Super Mario Bros X 2.0 now that she is so popular.

Re: MarioXFez v1.0 [Episode]

Actually switching from one 2D plain to another 2D plain might be possible with lunalua. Can anyone confirm this for me.

Why can't I escape from this. It's everywhere no matter where I go it seems.

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

Looking at the to do list I see that something that was done on the list before is now changed to WIP again. I don't know why I keep checking in on that project since I know Beta 4 is probably not going to be released until sometime next year since with how progress seems to be going it doesn't look...

Re: Making Skeeter (Super Mario 64)

It's great that people are bringing some Super Mario 64 enemies to SMBX. At some point we might even enough SM64 debut enemies to make a 2D demake of Super Mario 64 in SMBX. Edit: Oh wait that's a SMW romhack video. Would still be great to see someone implement a skeeter into SMBX since we are getti...

Re: Please Don't Use SMBX 38A - Here's Why

from what I heard Hugo is not only am imposter but also has according attitude (?) How is he an imposter since he can still code from what I've gathered and in the past he had some original ideas that weren't taken from SMBX2 from what I've been told so far and he might still have some original ide...

Re: Please Don't Use SMBX 38A - Here's Why

Let's see what I can find... The veggie buster bettle is an idea that was first mentioned in codehaus on May 20th. However, his sprite is just a recolour. The behaviour of this shoe goomba is pretty much identical to the one present in smbx2, aside from a lack of sounds and effects. DKC barrels wer...

Re: Please Don't Use SMBX 38A - Here's Why

Funfact all his recent content on youtube was stolen off codehaus on the day they were implemented in SMBX2 beta 4. Some of the stuff was using custom behaviour and sprites which he promptly remade without giving credit, presumably in an effort to paint his scripts as the original incarnations of t...

Re: Please Don't Use SMBX 38A - Here's Why

Didn't know Super Mario Bros X 1.4 had this much of a controversy surrounding it. While I agree the are a lot more bugs in it and a lot of things feel off (for example like the blue koopas not having a kick animation and the sumo bros lightning explosion going way too fast) I've seen users like Hugo...

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

what about having more than two players in battle since you could probably hook up multiple controllers to a computer. There's a couple of things SMBX doesn't know how to deal with with player numbers greater than 2. Camera and respawning, for example. This kinda stuff would need to be worked out i...

Re: Mario Editor

Super Mario Maker has infinitely more passion put into it than Mario Editor does. Along with polish. Hello does not know how to make a Mario game for his life, and while he possesses limited cranial operation, none of his projects are noteworthy. I feel the same way about Mario Editor then as I do ...

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

Will it have an Online Battle Mode? Netplay is a whole different beast. I would not see how Tournament Mode would work without online mode however Couch multiplayer. Pass the controller. I wish for a ghost multiplayer mode where you can load up a ghost file with the level or you can record your own...

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

What Happened To The Battle Levels? Beta 5. I got big plans for them but we can't make them happen yet. Thought Beta 5 was just going to be a character update with some extra features add. Didn't know battle mode would be fixed for that version. Also so many new possibilities could be added with al...

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

Although aren't there ways in SMBX 2.0 to increase or decrease the number of hits an NPC takes before death. I'm pretty sure you could use those methods to change Bowser's HP.

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

He does showcase beta 4 content, but showcases it along content not natively included, making them less useful to gauge what you actually get right out of the box imo. This is especially the case in the jungle video, which showcases stacked enemies, which is not a feature new to NPCs in beta 4, eve...

Re: SMBX2 (2.0 Beta 3)

Enemy stacking has been available since 1.3 (probably before) in the form of NPC codes. And LunaLua contests would probably be about as popular (or maybe slightly more) as unofficial contests not in a way like PixelPest's first preview video showed which is what made it impressive. It is done throu...
