Re: IMPORTANT: Scheduled Maintenance for February 1st

And...is the autoscroll and all the other bugs fixed now? Will we have more scope for events?

And if this is just a minor update why not call it SMBX 1.3.1 instead of 1.4?

Re: IMPORTANT: Scheduled Maintenance for February 1st

Is this...for REAL?! A new version of SMBX that you were talking about in that "???" topic in the General SMBX section? Just a heads-up on this: is it SMBX 1.4, or this Super X thing that Redigit was talking about: SMBX without the Mario characters?

Oops, I meant attaching the Bully to the Lakitu layer. Is that possible, and if so, will it result in a horizontal Lakitu?

Re: Horizontal Lakitu.

Hang on - I think it is possible to make a horizontal Lakitu using NPC codes. Although I haven't made one yet for my project, I THINK that in order to do it, you need to make a TXT file for npc-168 (Bully) and insert the nogravity=1 and noblockcollision=1 codes, and then place it in the level with F...

I won't bother with typing up a full-blown review because I already reviewed this for the community contest, but I'll enclose my contest review as my review of this level anyway as I still have it: Strange Star Galaxy - 9/10 This was an amazing level. It was perfectly nonlinear and it has some reall...

Re: The Potion Plight (Preview of 1-3!)

But in the screenshots, the background is darkier/darker than the blocks. That's what i want to know... You mean the items in black & white? Is that what you are trying to say? I think he means the items in black and white. What I did with the mushroom for example was to take the NPC version, fill ...

Level Design: 4.1/10 Hmm...yes, it's apparent, despite first glance, this isn't a joke level - it's authentic, although it's really memetic. I really liked the idea of this level, though. Looking good, FNC, just as it does on your forum. Pity it was closed on Knux's forum because you left, though; you attracted a massive fanbase.

You need to take the grass tiles and then rename them as "background-X" where X could represent any background, as long as it is 32x32 and has a mask.

Re: The Potion Plight (Preview of 1-3!)

OK, so this project is definitely not dead at all, and I can prove it. sezixor was supposed to be working on 1-3, but he was strangely taking a long time, so I discussed this matter with him in PM at Knux's, and I found that he'd dropped work on it, so I had to start myself. However, I've got a scre...

Interesting things in SMBX

When playing around with a lava level, I soon discovered that by altering the Blargg's speed, it allowed him to jump further. There is also another, obvious secret as well, although more of a glitch, which involves having an upgraded form of the player duck and slide into an area, then release Down....

Looking good and nostalgic there, rather reminiscent of the original SMBX while also adding the flair of the newer versions. However, why is Bowser fought, yet Valtteri is supposed to be the final boss?

How you got into SMBX?

So, as we know, everyone here is into SMBX. But the question is, how? This is my story of how I got into SMBX: Well, before SMBX, I started my level-editing career in Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2. Or, more specifically, the Mission Builder, back when I was 9. I amused myself and my brother wi...
