@Quantumenace: Super neat stuff, I really like the particles and the tileset itself also looks good.

@RudeGuy07: Did you make that tileset? It looks fantastic and fits surprisingly well with the SMB2 graphics.

Kinda late but congrats Mecha, that's certainly a huge improvement from last time. Will likely try your level soon since it does seem a lot better than your past levels, and I'm actually looking forward to seeing how high you'll get this year.

Awesome work! Didn't really see many other levels but I wouldn't be surprised if this won. A lot of n0ice lua magic and it uses all of it really well, nothing feels randomly thrown or anything.

Looks really neat! I think I saw a pretty similar gimmick in some random SMW hack before, actually :P

Neat stuff anyway, the design seems pretty cool and the aesthetics are lovely.

It's not that hard to make nonlinear evels without using switches, though, and it usually ends up a lot better. Multiple paths (even if they're also easy to do wrong) and obstacles that can be approached in several different ways help a lot, for example.

Fantastic work! It looks a lot more rocky/worn out than the SMW catsle block, though, making it perfect as a cave set (as demonstrated in the image).

Yeah, generally that would be too much but it really depends on

1. which NPCs you're using, specifically
2. the actual level's design

So there's not much to say without seeing the actual level and how they are used through it.

Haven't seen the original version so v(o_o)v, but if the pink leaves are supposed to differentiate the Venus Fire Traps from regular Piranha Plants a bit more I think it would be better to recolor the "head" instead (something red maybe). Otherwise it doesn't really look bad, but using the same gray...

I usually use a mix of other people's graphics and my own, so technically I do it a lot (like, I do it on 90% of my levels).

^ same here. You could use the current sizable colors for the regular ground, then darken the sizables a bit more. The green rocks would still look a bit weird tho (imo)

Thanks! I didn't make it, it's a mix of several different graphics (got the bricks from Sednaiur's extended pack, edited some random tile for the fill, chains are from some random set, etc).

That Peach... just looks weird (sorry), but I can't give much advice on how to make it better as I have near zero experience with pixel art outside of drawing tilesets. You should probably try to shade it a little better, it really needs a consistent light source - right now it's just pillow shading...

The colors do look "fine" but it might be (and likely is) more confusing in-game. It needs some more contrast as it is, you definitely need to either make the background darker or the tiles a bit lighter (latter would probably work better).

Otherwise the tileset looks pretty good, though.
