Re: LunaLua Tutorials Index

I just started to see how to paralax a background. This is actually really helpful and well-made, in my opinion. I can probably learn a lot from these tutorials. I will come back many times to see and learn more. Luckily I already made graphical sheets for this magic more than 3 years ago. :-P Thank...

Re: SMBX2 PAL Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

@Wohlstand I tried that but it reacts exactly the same, which means first loading for about a second and then nothing. I highly doubt that it is an installation or download-error, as this problem persists, no matter if re-installing or re-downloading. Also, something regarding the rotating Bill Blas...

Re: Lowser's Conquest (future plans)

Greetings. For everyone wondering about my project, it is still being worked on and was never cancelled. I, however took a long break from the community and the forums in general, aswell as just not having an internet connection during that time. Another reason for my long inactivity regarding my pr...

Re: SMBX2 PAL Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

@Wohlstand Thank you for fixing the mishap. When I first saw that message, I was so happy and just as disappointed afterwards, because I obviously did not find the option for gridsizes. Luckily I had found the option shortly after. ^^ The new Laucher should work, the built-in web-box is deprecated a...

Re: SMBX2 PAL Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

Note that since some moment, I have added into LunaLua the hack that replaces launcher's page with "about:blank". I am annoyed of this stucking and trying to dig useless stuff that prevents normal use of this window, and I have completely dummied it. If I understand you correctly, this is...

Re: SMBX2 PAL Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

Hello. I just got the pal-build from the download-page linked on the first page of this topic and it seems that I am not getting something. How to actually start the launcher? A double-click on the "SMBXLauncher" in the "data"-folder doesn't do anything, aswell as double-clickin...

Re: Should clips be removed from SMBX?

In my opinion, the crouch clip and move clip (platform clip) would be better off removed. Here are the reasons why I think that: Crouch Clip; Triggering it is very easy and simple and the way Redigit made it behave is just not the correct way. In the original games, the crouch clip was made so that ...

Okay then. I changed the red to a powerful dark blue. Hopefully it is better now.

Re: SMBX2 MAGLX3 Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

I just tried your suggestion but it does not react there, either. Check out your task manager, and you'll see that SMBXLauncher will appear, and then, disappear, with no showing of the stuff. It's the same as at me on my VM. Anyway, you can start the game by starting the "data/LunaLoader.exe&q...

Re: SMBX2 MAGLX3 Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

Looks weird: the "SMBX2.exe" is a very simple "shortcut" which executes the REAL launcher which you can find in the "data" folder (`data/SMBXLauncher.exe`). Try to launch it directly. Anyway, on my Win7 VM at my work, the launcher also didn't start by unknown reason......

Re: SMBX2 MAGLX3 Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

So, after some days, I tried to see if the package itself would not work for me, by pressing F5 (lua tester) in PGE on a random TI2 level and everything worked fine. The debug-menu popping up when pressing the ESC-key worked without problems and the game runs just fine. So, for some reason, the SMBX...

Re: Perfect SMBX Screenshot Thread 10

Perhaps it might be neat to add some sceneries dedicated to creating a smoother transition between the animated and still waters, if it's not too much trouble. I'd do it by creating some overlays with different corners being gradually more transparent, to let the animation shine through in specific...

Re: Where your avatar comes from?

Luigi looks like he's been in the bathroom for far too long To me, Luigi looks more like he didn't get to the bathroom in time. xD I made mine around 5 years ago. It depicts an original character of mine. His name is not "Sednaiur" though, and my signature also shows him, together with hi...

Re: I think it's safe to say...

I surely do agree with Knux on most this. To me, the activity and especially the creative activity started to decline in 2016. Since then I noticed that a lot less projects are started and even less are finished. Back when I first registered in january of the year 2013, projects, levels, and graphic...

Re: SMBX2 MAGLX3 Release - Feedback, Questions and Bugs here!

Yes, that is the version I tried. When I try to install the x64 version (I have a 64 bit OS) it tells me that the setup has failed because I already got another version of that file installed.
That is the message: Error 0x80070666: Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed.

Re: Introductions Thread

Hello. Long time not visited here. Remember me? ^^ I am still working on SMBX-relate stuff. Let me just say that I did not feel like visiting this place earlier for reasons. But as far as I can see these days the "problems" the SMBX-community had in 2017, seem to have toned down a bit. I w...
