Would like to report something:

Phantoes don't respond when Link grabs a key. They just sit there.

that's probably bc phanto detection is tied to holding the key. Link just absorbs the key and can't drop it (so come to think of it, he would be in a disadvantage)

Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why. And remember, Yoshis are tools to be used and discarded.

I just recently installed SMBX2 Beta 4 for the first time, but when I press the SMBX2.exe it couldn't work for me.

Could anyone have a solution for this?

Yeah, it seems working for me now (I reinstalled it on Download folder, since I first installed it on smbx folder on my Pictures so it likely didn't even work). But when I first loading a episode it gives me THIS:

AND NOT EVEN PATCH 2 / HOTFIX DIDN'T EVEN WORK BECAUSE IT LACKED SOME THINGS WHICH NEEDED FOR THE PROGRAM TO WORK!! IT GIVE ME 4 ERROR MESSAGES AFTER I RUN IT!!

Shouting won't help if you can't actually share those 4 error messages or say what was missing. It clearly works for 99% of people, so it's important you, as the one person it doesn't work for, can share all details about what is going wrong so that we can help resolve that.
As for the error you're experiencing, that looks to me like a permissions issue. Is this your computer, or do you merely occupy a user with limited rights on it?

Yeah, and but that's not the permission issues, but probably the anti-virus program issues I think...

Ah, yeah. Antivirus can usually manage file permissions. So tangentially related. Glad you figured it out!

You probably installed standalone patch 2, the one that comes in a rar, that is supposed to be applied to an older install of X2, now that you have an older version then I guess you could apply patch 2 to it, though you probably installed regular SMBX2 already patched so I guess it’s not necessary

I have the SMBX beta 4 patch 2 and when I finish a episode and Im in the credit, the credit have a black background and when I skip the credit, a debug message appear saying not enough memory. (And Idk why when I click on report a bug, it tell me to connect with a mail account but it does nothing even after I connect with my yahoo)

Would like to report a bug:

If an enemy is overlapping a star coin(In this case, the enemy is a SMW boo), and the player spinjumps the boo, the star coin will disappear without the player collecting it.

I have a suggestion for the next release: More customization for the Phanto enemies.

I think it would be very nice to be able to adjust the speed of a phanto (I tried to modify it using npc config text files, but it didn't have any effect), plus be able to adjust how wide their sine wave motion stretches.
