It has come to my attention that a few of these levels were part of Russian/Hispanic level contests, so they have been moved into the rejected category, and the results will determine which ones of those will be part of level of the year 2022

- Due to potential security risks, encrypted levels will be excluded from level of the month

???? That’s not true? Encryption levels/episodes is a thing you can do with Smbx 38A.
It prevents others from easily taking out gfx/music/sounds and levels.
Also that feature is used by a lot and so far there never has been a security risk from it.
I took the time to discuss that matter because I was confused from that post, and it’s been said to me by a fellow 38A user that the encryption feature does not portray any security risks.

reminder that 38A is closed-source and parts of teascript remain undocumented. since we don't know all of teascript's capabilities, there's no guarantee that someone won't discover a way to induce e.g. a memory leak using teascript and there'd not only be no way to check for it without the master key, but we also don't know if/when such an issue would be patched out. is such a thing going to happen? almost certainly not, which is why it's a "risk" and not an immediately known vulnerability.
at least, this is what i'm assuming eclipsed means since obviously encrypting the other stuff doesn't practically change much. perhaps an exception would be that levels which have the "view scripts" permission checked can still qualify.

Starting this year, I will no longer be showcasing every single powerup location in the game. Frankly, most people dont take into account powerups when voting for level of the month. Also, doing so requires me to constantly do attempts of levels where at most I only take one damage. It's been negatively affecting how much I enjoy this game to the point that sometimes I despise this game, so for the sake of my own health, I will stop showcasing this in every level.

I think this is a good decision personaly. I think people only care that there is no super long duration without powerups or which differnt powerups are offered. Your health is important and you have others to record some of the levels as nessisary.

Question: Why people didn't update their levels, Is it because these people didn't see this topic when there are excluded levels due to errors or bugs?

Maybe these people spend their time on something else besides Smbx?
