SMBX 50 Mario Challenge (CANCELLED)

I've decided to discontinue this project. There wasn't as much interest as I had hoped there would be for making levels, since the success of this was dependent on it. However, this isn't the end. I decided that insead of making a half-assed "challenge level" episode, I will make a full-blown Kaizo episode when I am done with the Kaizo Contest episode, concurrent with SMW Borderlands. Not all of the levels from this will be ditched, but some will definitely be made much more difficult

I think I could make something for this, are autoscroll levels also allowed.

Go ahead; autoscroll is fine. Please keep this in the Mario universe so no Villagers please!

There wouldn't be any Villagers anyway, I do however have something worth a challenge to abuse. 8-)

Pixelpest great job but could i submit levels? I'm poor at them and i want to submit a desert one but i'm not good at making them but i'm gonna make a hard one but i think it should be good.

Well its finished and i posted it on forums but i don't know how to download lunalua and set the timer so i made a easy desert level because i'm a beginner. And i made some friendly npcs but they aren't toads there are random enemies.

Okay! Made a ton of updates to the main post after discussing some stuff with some people about some other stuff and coming up with ideas for new stuff:

- Your level must be Average to be included.

- The no spinjumping rule has been deprecated, although some specific levels still won't allow it.

- This game will now use Lua to randomly select levels from a selection if however many levels are included, similar to Mario Maker.

- The layout of the Tiers has been reworked:
Tier 1:
Three hard levels (not nearly Kaizo difficulty)
One boss level
Tier 2:
One harder level (approaching Kaizo difficulty)
One boss level
Tier 3:
One expert level (almost Kaizo/light Kaizo difficulty)
One boss level

These levels aren't going to be overly tough (like Superpowered X by Mivixion) as you do have to play through 8 levels.

- Other minor tweaks.

More screenshots coming today, and I hope to have a playable library of eight levels finished by the end of April. After that, more and more levels will be added.

is this a Demon levels project? looks pretty intersting. I have one demon level that was posted in this forum (average section, it got 5/10 from MECHDRAGON777 and 5.9 from Enjl) But the level takes 8 mins to beat..... so.. yeah...
I never make a short demon level before. Can i be a part this project. I'll try to make a short demon level...... ( i promise i will not put switches in the level)
(TBH the laval level screen reminds me to a level called bloodbath in Geometry Dash....)

Sure. Using switches is fine for a gimmick, just not to extend the length. Also they're not demon levels since this isn't Geometry Dash

Camacho is correct. I'm not in need of Beta Testers for this episode/game. I'm going to moderate level quality myself and get feedback from the Level Designers as the project goes on. Due to the way this game will work, that's all I need
