Placing level goal or exit

Postby Tangle » Fri Jan 11, 2019 1:51 am

Hey there.

I have been using the editor for about a month now and find it intuitive and easy in all regards, except for placing level exits or goals.
I have tried to google for it and read and watched a bunch of tutorials but have not found the answer. I thought I would figure it out sooner or
later, but I just cant figure it out. So my question is; How do I make a level goal (or are they called exits?).

Sorry to bother you all with something this trivial.

Btw, the editor is awesome.

It's really simple. You have to go to the NPCs tab, then to your game-style for your goal (SMB1 for flag, SMB2 for crystal ball, SMB3 for stars, roulettes, and mystery balls, and SMW for keys, and goal tape) and set up the goal like it would look in the respective games.

Also, a quick note, even though there are stars as well in the SMW goals section, it's purely collectible for things such as star doors.
I'm just a YouTuber who happens to like Mario, Sonic, Minecraft, and Undertale (deltarune is good, too).

SMB1 for flag
FYI to do this as easily as just going into an NPC tab is a 38A exclusive.

He most likely was talking about options available from 38a yeah, but do remember that SMB1 Goal Flags are supposedly coming in beta 4.

Thank you. It was way more easy than I thought. And I was pleasantly surprised to find out how easy it was to make different exits open different paths on a world map.
