In Windows XP in almost every game the RAM requirements are less, thus SMBX not being the exception, as it requires 1024 MB of RAM to run SMBX on W7 and 512 MB of RAM to run SMBX on WXP.

Had you found any way to run SMBX 220.127.116.11 on your old laptop? Mine can't, but I found that it can run 1.2.idontevenknow without any problem.
