I have a problem with 1.4.3. It seems that 1.4.3 SMBX is being whiny and doesn't seem to want to use GIFs. I can't use a GIF to PNG converter either, since whenever i try to convert a playable, It has this weird graphical effect which doesn't look nice at all. Help?

SMBX 1.4.3 uses png images. To convert it, just use paint.net (add the image into it and then save as png instead of gif).

The in-game converter should work fine, if you see a mistake in the converter you should let 5438A38A(the creator of 1.4), so he can fix the mistake. You can also use PGE's Gif->PNG converter, that generally works better than the in-game converter.

Yes. But it still leaves the weird different colored pixely resolution on it,

Are you using Paint.NET or MS Paint; there's a big difference and what you're describing is what happens in MS Paint, while I've never had that happen in Paint.NET

PGE's GIFs2PNG is easy to use: just drop into EXE's icon any file or folder you wish convert, and it will convert all GIFs into PNGs with right algorithm (merging algorithm is based on bitmask over gray background, In result the image which can avoid wrong result of lazily-made sprites). Another way to use batch conversion is in PGE Editor (no matter opened files or empty environment), in the "Tools -> External tools -> Convert masked GIFs into PNGs" menu

I'm using Paint.net. Heres what im doing.

I have GIFS2PNGS on my desktop, and a file full of gif's.
I drag the folder full of gifs onto the Converter.
It finishes converting, but it still leaves the discoloration thing on the GIFS.
