Is Nintendo Salty? Where's SMBX 2.0?

Postby Corndog52 » Mon Jun 26, 2017 4:42 pm

I can't seem to find a valid link to SMBX 2.0, and I'm guessing Nintendo took it down because they got jealous n' stuff (like they do with good Mario fangames). Am I just being stupid? Can someone link me?

I'm stupid. Thank you, all.

I believe and I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. If you do, put this in your signature!

Uhm, Nintendo is like one of the biggest companies why should they be jealous? And if they would take it down they would have all the rights to do so, since smbx literally uses their copyrighted stuff.

They had tried taking it down in the past failed

And inb4 Mable says they managed to stop its development: They didn't, Redigit had stopped devloping the game before and independent of th C&D. And 2.0 is essentially involves hacking in order to develop it without the source code.

Why is this relevant?

Stop saying they failed when they did stop the devolpment. It doesn't matter if redigit did stop before, they still gave it a c&d which clearly disallowed anyone continue it. If they give X2 one we gotta deal with it.

They did stop the devolpment in 2011 stop trying to hide it.

Mable, that isn't true - development was stopped before the C&D and saying otherwise implies that Nintendo is part of the reason SMBX wasn't continued by Redigit, which would be incorrect.

Cease and Desists are not "we disallow you from doing this"; rather, they are "stop doing this or we will take legal action".
