SMBX2 PAL won't work

Postby Animebryan » Fri Jul 12, 2019 10:02 pm

I've downloaded SMBX2 PAL & it's giving me an error:

My laptop has the file, its specifically used by Firefox in my Program Files/Mozilla Firefox folder, but SMBX2 is too stupid to detect the default location for that file.
I need to know where does SMBX2 look for the file at so I can copy it there.

Have you tried downloading SMBX2 PAL from Google Chrome? Maybe that'll solve the issue

That's.... not how .dlls work. At all.

I'm not sure why you're having problems here, honestly, but the software isn't going to look in every folder in your computer for .dll files. No software does, and unless you wanted it to take hours to open you should be thankful it doesn't.

My guess would be something relating to PATH variables, or perhaps even graphics drivers. I'm not the best person to ask about this as I'm pretty sure this is a launcher issue. If you're looking for help, the Codehaus Discord server has all the developers of the project on it, so you're more likely to get a fast response asking there (though I should stress that civility is important, and raging because it's not working isn't going to help anyone, least of all you).

What that supposed to mean?

I never suggested that it should search every folder for it. The file is natively used by Firefox so its understandable for it to look for the default path for Firefox if it relies on one of its dll files.

Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why.

Search 'Google Controversy" for obvious reasons.
