A shell problem

Postby Hammerless Penguin » Sat Feb 29, 2020 4:58 pm

When putting jumphurt=1 in any npc that’s a shell, The npc basically breaks. Is there a workaround for this?

I had this problem with some level I did years ago. I ended up just not using jumphurt at all on those shells. I don't know any work around for it. Maybe some fancy lua scripting but I'm not a super nerd in scripting. Maybe someone else will have a solution.

I can't think of a non-janky solution, sorry. Just don't try to use spiked shells.

The problem with making a custom override in lua is that the non-jumphurt behaviour of any enemy is that you bounce off. If enabling jumphurt is out of the question, there is no way to cleanly disable that.
You could try to write your own shell code from scratch I suppose?
