It's in the PGE folder of the SMBX2 folder! Or in quicker terms, go to the downloads in file explorer, and:

Downloads > SMBX2 > data > PGE > pge_calibrator

Essentially this:
https://wohlsoft.ru/pgewiki/Playable_ch ... Calibrator

The article is pretty old, so a few things to note:
- after saving you will get a .ini file for the powerup in question
- if you put that ini file into the level/episode folder, it will automatically take effect. no lua code necessary
Ideas are useless if you can't make them real.

I don't get what you were doing in this situation. This screenshot doesn't tell anything.
I think the thing above Mario's head is the legacy-styled cursor. So you're most likely using 1.3 or 1.4.
And all you did was placing Mario a bit inside the ground? Or you got stuck when you tried to playtest?

Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why. And remember, Yoshis are tools to be used and discarded.

It does if you have tried to use custom playables before.
In SMBX by default, the player character frames are aligned in the top left of their 100x100 pixel grid, with the hitbox going down and to the right. Consequentially, if you have a sprite that's taller than the hitbox of small SMB3 mario, it will stick further into the ground, since you can only expand down and right.
I'm not sure what solution 38A has for it, but SMBX2 has the calibrator tool that can save the calibration inis.
Ideas are useless if you can't make them real.
