My Problems (Current: Game crashes, unknown cause)

Okay, I'm using two .mp3 for a boss fight. One for before the fight, and the other during. I am trying to make it so that once the fight starts, the boss music will play. However, since they are both "custom" tracks, only one of the two will play. Does anybody have any idea on how I can get around this problem? :(

Copy your section to another section and use instant warps, covering the entire floor so you can teleport from one section to another section since you can put 1 custom music per sections.

I believe you could also use LunaDLL + Lua to make this work. I'm not sure how exactly, but I believe there was a topic on it somewhere.

Well, sure but this what I mentioned earlier is how you are doing this without any extentionary programs/files/etc.

I'm trying to add custom sound .mp3 files to my episode. However, it doesn't work at all. Anyone know how I can make the custom sound files work?

copy its name into clipboard (with the .mp3) and paste it into the custom music in misc tab. Click the button saying "custom" and the music is set.

Also for your previous question, I believe you can use events and invisible axes.

That's how you add custom sound? I'm pretty sure I tried that. Does the custom SFX only work when playing the actual game?

I think I figured it out! My episode uses custom music and sound, but I was using the original smbx.exe that doesn't have custom music/sound already inserted!!!!!!!

When I tried using my levels in the episode's own level editor it crashed. :(

Did you add double quotations (") in any of the layer/event names or dialogue? If so, you'll have to open the level in Notepad and delete said double quotations. Since SMBX uses double quotations as coding indicators, having double quotations in layer/event names will cause SMBX to crash.

This error also appears if there's a value in one of the NPC txt files that isn't compatible with your computer, like a period or a comma. Try removing all txt files from the level's folder and see if that will let you open the level.

Do guys have any idea where I can find free to download .mp3 files for songs? I know one site, Nes-Snes Sprites has tons, but I want more custom songs.

The only way to have custom music on the overworld without Luna/Lua would be to replace the default songs in the Music folder. Of course, along with uploading your episode, you would have to upload the songs that you plan on replacing the overworld songs with so the player can experience the episode properly. Also, don't forget to make a copy of the default songs so that, when you're done with your episode, you can play other episodes normally (without your music replacements).

I think there is a way with SDL Mixer installed into SMBX. I do not remember the lunalua code though.

Okay, for some odd reason, the checkpoint is invisible in one of my levels! It's fine for the other ones. I don't know why this is happening, but I did try to make a new SMBX folder just for this episode. Maybe that has something to do with the problem. Can anybody help me on this?

Yes, the level and the whole episode has custom GFX. I tested it in the level tester and it was still blank. This happened to some of my levels before, but all of theirs were fixed.
