Two more demos added to the collection! Hopefully I'll be releasing more rare gems in 2019, including the recent recoveries of 'lost episodes' from 2011...

Volume 16 - Project Jumpman

One of the most controversial productions in SMBX history, this rare demo was believed to have never even been released until now!

Volume 17 - Kingdom Crisis

Joey's (also known as ShadowYoshi) Kingdom Crisis is a hidden gem in SMBX, re-released to the masses, coupled with a brand new interview and an old trailer.

that was ... incredibly quick? Did you add all missing bosses?
I spent the last two days working on it almost non-stop, taking mostly from my own play-through and your notes. I should clarify that I decided not to add bosses because I wanted to make as little alteration to Zephyr's final release as possible. Besides for me personally I find it kinda humorous with the on-going 'help block of disappointment' :P

Uhh... what's so controversial about this Jumpman Project?

Looks interesing though.

EDIT: Nevermind. I read the .pdf file. Quite interesing.

There's a MP4 file that may have triggered something, but it should be safe. Run a scan over it to be sure

I've updated the link with an alternative video source, it should now be totally fine. Apologies - and have a Merry Christmas!

Simply just a reissue! I couldn't get in contact with Blaarg or FallingSnow for any interviews I'm afraid.

if you haven't played any classics before, I suggest doing Apocalypse of Foroze and Mario vs. the Moon Base first (pace the rest lol)

Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why. And remember, Yoshis are tools to be used and discarded.

I'd just like to not that this topic saved the entirety of betterifiVed from being cancelled as soon as Mario vs The Moonbase was put out

Checking out Bowser's Brain Control Takeover and the warp leading to the secret exit in 2-2 is definitely missing.

Damnit... can you do me a favour and find all bugs so we can sort it out? I generally beta test every episode but decided not to for this one, and now I wish I had lol

there's no secret exit in world 3-2 at all

it's probably supposed to be at a dead end with sparkies in Section #2

I'll just post the bugs here as I progress with the playthrough

This is a very frustrating and common problem when finding old episodes, many of them need restored, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense because they were fully functional upon their original release. Perhaps people modified the files when reuploading hence the bugs? Almost every episode in this range wasn't sourced from the original downloads.

World 5's secret exit is just plain assholerish. New boos keep spawning on both sides so you CANNOT take your time to divert the big chunk of boos.

5-2 is completely broken. There's just no way out of Section #3.
