Super Mario Miracle is an experimental Collectathon-styled episode mainly inspired by Super Mario Odyssey. In this episode, you explore open levels (or "islands") looking for hidden moons. Some islands only have 5 moons, while others have around 20. There are over 100 moons in this episode.
Exploring and collecting moons is entirely optional. In the main story, there are no star requirements that force you to go back to a previous level. If you are not a fan of exploration, you might still get some enjoyment out of this episode.
It is playable with Super Mario Bros X 1.3.0.1.
-STORY-
Bowser has stolen the wish-granting Miracle Fountain on Miracle Island, far above the clouds. Mario now has to make his way up to Miracle Island to stop Bowser before things get out of hand.
-FEATURES- >OVER 100 MOONS: Moons here are comparable to the moons in Super Mario Odyssey. You get them for various small tasks like finding a secret pipe or collecting red coins. >OPEN LEVELS: The levels are open and there's a lot to see in each one, but they are also compact and structured, which should prevent you from getting lost too often. >BOSSES: Every level has a unique boss battle at the end. >UNIQUE LEVELS: Islands have custom tilesets and music, and each one has a different atmosphere to it.
-PLEASE NOTE-
>Episode was created using Super Mario Bros X 1.3.0.1. Also playable in SMBX2, of course. Not playable in 1.4.
>Graphics & music credits in the "Credits.txt" file in the game files.
>There's a file named "Moon List.txt" in the game folder with a list of every level's moons. This is for the people who really want to 100% this episode for some reason, I don't recommend it.
>This episode is Mario only.
>2-Player is not recommended (not tested).
>Always go back to the overworld before you exit the game to save your progress properly.
Neat, but that doesn't work for SMBX 1.3.0.1 does it? Wouldn't that mean that many wouldn't be able to play the game at all? Never really looked into this Lua/PGE stuff...
PixelPest wrote:It won't work in 1.3.0.1, no. You should consider downloading SMBX2
Thanks, but considering that many people still use 1.3.0.1, I don't really feel like it's worth excluding those for some neat visual touches. Fake walls are only in like two levels anyway. I might upgrade to SMBX2 if I make another episode though.
I think its a good idea to make 2 versions of the episode , the next one to be in 2.0 with luna lua stuff and improvements upon levels and ect. so people that use 1.3 and 2.0 can play it.

I suppose it's a good opportunity to learn how Lua works, it will take time though since I've never used it before. So I'll look into that, that being said I don't think the episode suffers that much because of the inferior engine.
Would be great to hear a few people's opinions on the game once they played some of it, no need to make another version if no one likes it to begin with.

that's not necessarily even a concern. I'm pretty sure people are already using SMBX2 and PGE for its better functionality and at the latest with Beta 4 people will switch to SMBX2 anyway. The future is all for SMBX2
Still using the legacy editor? Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why. And remember, Yoshis are tools to be used and discarded.

South Korea is easy deal
2.0 could be a little expansion after the players have finished it on 1.3, a door that opens with extra challenges and requires a defined amount of moons, this is just me brainstorming though. 2.0 expansion could work like a patch, you overwrite the base game with the update and etc.
I really liked this episode I was encouraged and downloaded and I do not regret I want to get all the moons to just . I am entertained by a lot of good work with this.

Thanks. That was the only one where I couldn't trace back who made it. It's updated now.

Most people in this forum probably use 2, but I think more casual players might still use 1.3

I'm not sure yet. It probably depends on how much changes.

Heck yeah, I'm 100% down for more collectathon episodes! edit: see my sig regarding it being hosted on mediafire
Some people just cannot avoid the ads on MediaFire, even with both common sense and popup blockers. It's always a good idea to provide an alternate download link with an ad-free file host such as Dropbox or Google Drive.
Also play Bug Fables, the devs have confirmed that they got their royalties from Dangen and the game is really freaking good.
