Lol thank you I appreciate the input. Ya it's pretty much exactly how I try to sell it to people is "I put in a lot of effort but it could be better". It definitely needs work but it's just a skill I haven't fully developed. This is the first time I've done anything related to game development and I tried my best but I just don't have knack for design. Thanks again.

Maybe turning an isometric RPG into a 2-D platformer was a little /too/ ambitious for your first project.
You want to start off as small as possible: take a little idea and work with it as much as you can.
How do I know this? Because I'm recreating the events of the first Harry Potter book in SMBX, and I haven't made much progress in months. X3

So I just played this episode. First thing I have to ask, why did you clone the entire SMBX folder and put it into the folder I downloaded (with things like "graphics" and "worlds")?

Other than that, this looks pretty bland. Not many background objects, custom graphics clash, just a few easy enemies now and then, way too many powerups (Four Fire Flowers? Really?). The original SMRPG was one of my favorite SNES games and it still is, but this doesn't look good, at all. You did, however, put a lot of effort into the scripting. I suggest updating this with better graphics (that fit heights too, did I mention that?) and then it might be decent. But for now... I'm not touching this.

The good:I ended it,with the final challenge!
The bad:I do %99 of the episode with Bowser,incluiding the start (Bowser vs Bowser WTF? Bowser rescating Peach WTF?!?!?!)
The other %1 is probably a level with Mallow

I have a question,where did you find the final world after beating the special boss?

Edit:I don't rememb seeing so much Goombas that in the penultimate history level.

Glad to hear you beat it. Hope you liked it! Ya originally I had it set up to unlock characters normally but decided it was funner to just have all characters available from the start. Which, as you pointed out, makes for some very interesting interactions like Bowser vs Bowser.

Regarding your question:

You go to Moleville to fight the special boss and a star warp appears above Moleville to take you to the special world. Originally I wanted to put in a brand new custom special boss at the end of the final stage but I still haven't fully figured out what I want to do. So for now the challenging part is just making it through that loooooooong end stage. Some day I hope to add an Ultimate Boss at the end.

Version 1.06 is now live! I uploaded a full playthrough to my youtube channel (you can find the link in the main section of this post). While recording the videos I noticed that there was a few moments of spelling errors and one section of the game was on an older version that still had placeholder text so that was updated as well. Enjoy!

I always wanted to do a SMRPG demake for SMBX, but it looks like you beat me to it! I'll be doing a LP of this soon, however, I am concerned about some of the previous comments about how disappointed they were. Maybe I won't give up & do my own version anyway.
Due to the 'hostility' between me & some of the staff on here, I'm going to start blocking users who post on my topics without posting an actual solution & are just retaliating/reacting to my posts. I'll try to be nicer with my posts but situations like this & the constant problems with SMBX2 & PGE is making that harder & harder to be nice about all this. :(

Uploaded a new version 1.07 with some more level updates I hadn't noticed before. I hope some day I'll get around to updating all of the sprites but we'll have to see.

I'm playing on SMBX2 and no matter who I play as, the characters treat me as Mario.

also, what am I supposed to do in Rose Town?

never mind. I used the foundmycarkeys cheat and it worked. The fact that smbx2 has that cheat is an advantage for playing the Rose Town level.
