Not being mean, but honestly those graphics look pretty blurry and bad. Do you know how you're resizing them and the art program you're using, by any chance?

it's way too dark. Use cooler colors instead of relying so much on the brightness meter.

Decided to add the castle escalators in my SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis GFX pack, because why not zoidberg? Whatcha think so far? :P

is it ok if I try my hand at tweaking the colors and sending it back to you?
EDIT: nvm, I can't. You used a plethora of colors. Take it from someone who has been down that dark road. Try to limit your color usage and use 3-5 colors for shading things. Otherwise your sprite will look incredibly blurry and recoloring things become a huge chore.

Remember those letters people used for cut-scenes in the past that were tiles? I am trying to make them for Fill tiles and BGOs for a tileset, so I am getting the shape first. This would mainly be used for hiding text in the walls for a more aesthetic taste. As the reference image shows, This is the ZORAN alphabet from the Legend of Zelda series. The intent is for me to use it in an Underwater level.

It is the Zoran Alphabet from the Legend of Zelda series. (Wish it had a "Q" and "X", but you take what you get.) Reference is in my previous post.

I mean, I am tempted to add a Halo to the death effects of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toaddett, and Yoshi now. Still want feedback on the sprite version of the Zoran Alphabet though.

Oh, the sprites version of the Zoran Alphabet looks like a faithful translation imo.
