How do people usually commit Tax Fraud?

Postby Dan Kruse » Thu Dec 06, 2018 1:31 pm

I have an idea for an episode with Yoshi as the protagonist antagonist.
It would be cool to see the acclaimed concept of Yoshi commiting tax fraud into an episode for SMBX.

You know how rich people have tax havens. I would consider that tax fraud.

Yoshi starts a 501c3 but uses the money to pay off personal debts and take advantage of deductions.

I think the easiest form of "Tax Fraud" is lying to the IRC

List Baby Mario as your dependent even though he isn't your son.

Or, I heard it's a Tax Fraud if you came up on make up a "Phony" made-up religion just to avoid paying the IRS.*

*Like in the episode of Bob's Burgers where the kids made up a fake religion to save the aquarium.

I think it's basically intentionally misinterpreting what you need to do for your taxes, so you pay less or not at all. I'm pretty sure that's it.
