I freakin' love horror movies, and I'm curious to know what's your favorite.
As for me, it's a tie between Sinister, The Conjuring, and Insidious. All of these are really scary and keep you on your toes to know what happens next and what abrupt jumpscare is next.

I do not watch a whole lot of horror movies, but Insidious was pretty good.

Glad to see you saw it too, but did you see Insidious Chapter 2? Because if you saw the first, you need to see the second, even if the second wasn't as good as the first in horror factor (but I will admit, Insidious Chapter 2 was really thrilling, just not really scary).

Would the Scary Movie series even be declared as horror? I think it's comedy.

Well, they aren't really scary, more like funny, yes. But some moments there are still a bit scary..

The whole purpose of this thread is to share horror movies that are scary for you and that you like.

I liked the Saw series except for Saw 3D, and Stephen King's The Mist and IT were decent enough too. I don't really watch too much horror, but these movies do come to mind for my favorites.

No it's the last movie in the series with a 3D gimmick. Imo it's the worst movie in the series and a terrible way to end it. You should check it out.

I watched Drag Me to Hell ages ago. It was more of a thriller than a horror movie. There were a shitload of jump scares though. xD
Also watched a movie about these two people torturing this guy who tortured their son to death. Also, the husband is a doctor, so he knows what he is doing. Literally, the whole movie is them torturing a guy. Yes, it was fucked up, but it honestly got boring after a while. However, the ending made you think. You don't know whether they got the wrong convict or not.
About Saw, haven't watched any of the full movies, but I have seen parts of them.
One more horror movie I watched was one of the newest Halloween movies. Pretty good.
Also, as said before, I watched Insidious.

FYI, that movie was made in 2013.
Also, that's not a horror movie. That's an action-thriller. But still, I see why you'd like it.
