I see.. seems odd regardless how the biggest hurdle in gameplay with this system is that everything becomes solely centered around cooldowns and blockades. Would be nice to see more potential for flow to occur.

Different Assist Characters will present different gameplay styles, there are support assist characters meant to buff your playable character in numerious ways, there are offensive assist characters meant to do the attacking for you and then there are defensive assist characters who will protect you from danger and then there are assist characters who are mixed between these 3 categories and one last category called summoner assist characters who summon minions to automatically fight for you but its still only a concept so far. So yeah, there is a lot of potential and there is also the option of not using an assist character for a lot of challenges where it will stop npcs who target your assist character to attack but will make some of these challenges harder or impossible to complete.

Good for you.

This doesn't convince me as something you can make entertaining since what you've shown so far doesn't look entertaining. And even if this "offensive" character type is the only unfun one thanks to its enormous cooldowns and wishes to be a full-fledged playable, why support it in such a laggy state alongside potentially better ones?

These screenshots can't convince you that my stuff will be fun to play, i can only convince you through my demo.
So please don't judge the whole project based on few stuff that i decided to show off and if my beta testers are having fun with my levels, i think i am doing something right, i am also using all of my level designing experience and i try to put my best when designing levels for my project but i know this won't convince you so the only thing i have to say is wait for the demo.

Why did you choose to use firesnakes with this theme of the level, i am interested at hearing your answer.
Also maybe blue firesnakes could fit more with the theme of undead/bones?

The theme is "i just wanted to use the fire snakes and hopping flames for the level's setups"
It's just a surreal aestethic i wanted to try out, sky bones n such, and also the level is already white/blueish enough, leaving the flames bright and orange creates a good contrast, and makes them easier to notice;
At least imo

It's guessing time!

One is probably on a floating fortress, floating ruins or floating island with a castle/fortress/ruins.
How will they work ?
I see wing mario, i have 2 guesses, my first guess is that he will only fall down slowly but can't fly, the other guess is that he will indeed fly and behave like the leaf power up.
Then i see metal mario, my guess is that he is invincible and maybe can use some kind of metal projectiles.
Is there a third one in the works ?
Hmm, the fact you are teasing this means you have definitely planned something, be it a power up or some kind of item.
