We're continuing our wave of tweaking and dusting off the basegame with the consequence of minor inconsistencies which might cause minor graphical errors in the short term but will improve the game in the long run.

Question: Which playable chars will be changed in b4? I understand almost all of them are getting reworked or removed but which ones come first?

Afaik beta 5 is more related to playable characters than beta 4.
Pretty sure Juni is getting removed,
others you'll have to view the Codehaus Discord for.

Juni and Princess Rinka will be removed in Beta 4, and some will have minor tweaks and fixes, but most will be the same as in Beta 3.

Oh that and ultimate rinka can make for some pretty fun levels unlike juni or princess rinka. But if you really think it’s op then just don’t use it. Simple. It’s not in the Mario challenge lobby and can only be accessed using player blocks

I thought Princess Rinka = Ultimate Rinka... What's the difference between the two?

Princess Rinka is a character. Basically a rinka with Peach's blonde hair, lolz

Ultimate Rinka has the rinkas flying in from everywhere. Watch yourself and your HP!

Rinka = Metroid enemy projectile (more like Metroid II as I've never seen them in the first Metroid).

The opposite, Metroid I has rinkas and Metroid II doesn't. Also, the rinkas in SMBX come from Super Metroid, which is the third game in the Metroid franchise.

PGE already supports alternate languages (which is enough imo)

I believe in three 72 mm large, 690 g heavy iron balls as my lords and saviours.

It's not worth to use the legacy editor anymore these days. Get SMBX2 and PGE, it will improve your experience significantly. Here's why.

I created those files as are was some people wished to translated into those languages, but wasn't began their work, so, everyone can took the translation file and provide support for a new language. Currently supported COMPLETED languages are English, Russian, German (outdated, contains new untranslated strings), Spanish, Portuguese (outdated), Italian, and Polish on Editor side, and English, Russian, Dutch and Spanish on Engine side.

For a game editor, having European and Canadian French separate is pretty trivial. The dialects are extremely similar
