custom tilesets in PGE with built in smbx stuff?

is it possible to make a tileset of customs blocks, bgo's, and npc's that are a modification of existing blocks, bgo's and npc's?

for example can I take block-1 make it a 64x64 block that is animated and acts like a metroid block when destroyed?
then can I make a pge tileset with blocks like this and have smbx 2.0 support it?

Blocks will resize automatically in PGE but you cannot change how many frames they have (without drawing the block every frame with LunaLua)

@PixelPest so the PGE configuration init files don't do anything?
