How do you think SMBX would actually be if Redigit had continued with it? Also I have searched, sorry if there's already a topic for this.

In my opinion that doesn't affect SMBX, 1.3 was not bad at all

Eh, the smbx2 devs are doing a great job so far so i can't really see Redigit doing something as good as them.

Yeah I know but that doesn't mean that 1.3 is bad anyways

Redigit was a master of codes. It would have been great.

Probably we'd be here with some official versions like 1.4 or 1.5, but probably there wouldn't be any of the lua stuff we have today, since it was made just to continue the game without him, so we could say it'd be something more poor than the upcoming Beta 4

I actually asked a question similar to this a few months ago. But yeah, a few bugs could have been fixed, and might have gotten more enemies/items/bug fixes, but I don't believe it would have gone on for long. Redigit would have probably wrapped it up by 2013-2015, and if he was to release the source code, we would have had quite a few child engines.

The only npc that displays drunken behavior is Pokey. the rest seems pretty tight.

Unfinished Airship Piece
Moving enemy behaviour near walls (easy zips)
Paratroopas colliding with invisible blocks
Held item's effects still applying even after the item has been removed (most notably: propeller block)
Roto disc and firebar movement is sin^2 for some reason
Every NPC can be despawned if you re-scroll it onscreen exactly 180 frames after it went offscreen, creating some creative breaks for potentially any setup.

And of course some of the bugs we've been fixing for SMBX2:
-venus fire trap division by zero
-mushroom in lava
-veggie in lava

Enjl very cool, I think it was a drunken post about Pokey.
I'm playing around with SMBX 2 and you guys are doing a great job with it.
