When Mario goes to a Crystal Pipe (That is the real name, I looked it up.) and he reaches a junction, what direction does he go? Right or up?

Also, why is the label for SMW2 stuff labelled YI? It is fricking SMW2.

YI is the more commonly used name for SMW2.

We call them clear pipes because that's our personal terminology.

If I remember correctly what The0x539 said in codehaus, mario goes straight if the junction allows him, and up if the junction does not.

1. No, no it's not.
2. I decide what their name is in SMBX2, and I chose Clear over Glass.

3. You choose, duh. Image It defaults to straight if straight is valid, and if it's not, it first checks for valid redirector BGOs, it follows them if there are any and otherwise defaults to left or up depending on which is valid.

I have a suggestion. 2 suggestions actually. A rail Fuzzy that only makes you smaller and a white Fuzzy that makes the level shift around and does not let you pick what direction you go through a clear pipe.

Interesting concept, but there's no good way to telegraph it, and it'd just end up frustrating and confusing.

Don't the clear pipes in SM3DW wait for you to pick a direction if there's no straight direction?

Nope. It chooses for you if you don't hold a direction.

As nice as those sprites look, I don't think this will be in SMBX2, much less basegame.

Can we suggest things here?? I don't know how to explain it better but I wish to have more of the same npcs (it makes sense with piranha plants) so I could have normal green piranha plants and red piranha plants all possible forms (depending on what game style are the graphics). Also it would be great if you guys could make the new characters fix like when we are creating a world there are only original characters options with who you can play the new characters simply get past this so I want it fixed.

Nice suggestion! How would the following sound to you: forcing certain costumes! Now I can actually make Super Mario Bros X DS!

They could do (sounds great if you don't want certain power-up in certain level) that but every new suggestion slows their progress not like that these suggestions will appear in the next release probably in the release after that (maybe).

There are ways to do exactly what you described, but it requires the use of Lua. Some of the ways to get what you want may be a little less straight-forward though, but they're certainly possible.

Hey, not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the game will crash if using a Nintendo Switch Joy-Con as the controller and the ZL or ZR button is pressed. The button can't actually be mapped to anything either. I've had to use a game profiler to make sure that SMBX doesn't get crashed by an accidental ZL/ZR input.

The crash log is as follows:

Also, every other button on the controller works fine, including SL/SR. It's only ZL and ZR that cause issues.

Error Message. Exception code is 0xc000008f. All I did was test my level. :|

I really hope you guys can do a guide explaining all of the new features and each of the new units etc for beginners and for some of us who know a lot but want to extend our knowledge a bit more. If not a guide then maybe the Wiki on this site can be used since you have one that is empty.

While probably not an option it would be cool to have to option to change the color of any unit with a color palette. Having neon colored units for example would be awesome. Last but not least I still hope you guys work on extending the map size, level limits and the ability to do more with level triggers on the main map such as unlocking key levels, bonus levels like toad houses and the ability to save toad house items for later. Also I would suggest the blast barrels from DKC as they rock.

My last suggestion is the ability to have a water unit move like croctopus from DKC. I know you can do this with some of the other units outside of the water but to have a water themed one would be cool. I check the forums once in awhile but I rarely log on. I am glad you guys and gals are taking your time to make this one great.
I want to say thank you to God for every day he gives me on this planet and for the chance to be in a better place when I die.
