Month of September

Postby Quill » Fri Sep 01, 2017 7:05 am

Hey SMBX Community, it's September! The Summer is over and Fall/Autumn has finally begun (well, not technically, but throw me a bone here).

For those who don't know, we use these monthly threads to post the latest announcements in addition to featuring an episode and graphics pack.

Here is the new announcement. It's a combination of a new announcement and an update to an existing one.

- The New Level Reviewer System: Announced all the way back in July, this feature is finally coming. In the past, we had Level Judges who had the role of reviewing levels and moving them to an appropriate sub-forum such as 'The Best' or 'Pretty Good'. That system isn't in place anymore, but there is still a need for individuals who are willing to consistently review levels. That is why starting later today, we will be opening up a thread where you can submit an example of how you review levels. If you impress us and show you will be dedicated to reviewing levels, you will be provided with a unique, special rank that will tell the forum that you are a verified reviewer and that you know what you're talking about. More information will be provided in that thread which will be opened later today.

Here are the featured picks of this month:

Featured Episode
Mario Prime

Mario Prime takes the exploration focus from games such as the Metroid series and mixes it with the Super Mario universe. If you're looking for a different kind of SMBX episode, this might be the one for you.

Featured Graphics Pack
Enjl's Collection

We love to feature Graphics Packs that have a massive variety of graphics; graphics that are bound to provide inspiration for your levels. Enjl's Collection is no exception.

And that's it for this month! There's not a whole lot in terms of announcements, but we can't have major changes every month. There's likely going to be more next month, however.

Also, while you're still here, definitely take a look at the SMBX2 Development Blog. Not everyone knows it exists, but there's plenty of information here about what is coming to SMBX2, so take a look! Anyway, thank you for reading!

See you next month!
