Some progress on the SMB3-styled grass. So far I've Finished the Grass-to-dirt transition tiles and also created a sizeable. Now all I need to do is create slopes and recolor the tiles for the "dirt" part. Feedback is appreciated :)

Hello, this Custom Cloud Tileset W.I.P his adding Slopes on my SMBX Project: "Mario and the Rising Sun" is the Drawed on Paint.NET is Cloud sizeable in Work in Progress, Here is it.

Basically it's a monster of sorts which I created for my card game, however, I decided to sprite it as well, mainly because I was bored. The name itself is a portmanteau of "undertow" and "toad", which is pretty much how it operates. It lives, burrowing beneath the ground, before springing out and grabbing enemies that pass by. The lily pad on its back acts as a sort of cover to the burrow as it lies in wait. Come to think of it, it does seem kind of like a Trapdoor Spider.

The first one looks terribly flat, almost like it's made out of cardboard. The second looks good, however, if you're trying to pull off the curvy effect, I'd suggest adding curves to the actual sides of the hill as well, like what you've done to the third hill. The third hill you've posted I think looks best out of all of them. It's lovely and detailed, with probably just the right amount of lighting and grain.

This is like the best detailed review I've ever read. Anyways, That is the reason why I redo it, the old one seemed flat when I kept looking at it, so I has to redo it. As for the newer one, I was going to shade it like in a different way, like wavy and such. I guess it has some minor flaws I need to fix. And for the third hill, it is the stripe one from SMB3. I decided to make it my own style and mostly inspiration from Sednaiur. Since SMB3 has 2 different types of hills.

If we could get a Crash playable in SMBX 2.0 I'd vote these for the sprites that get used. I've seen a few 8-bit Crash sprites around, but I like this most. I'm glad you used Classic Crash's design as opposed to his Mind over Mutant design.

Fun Fact: I think I know what "8-bit Crash sprites" you're talking about. Is it the ones from Deviantart? If so I used that as an inspiration to make this. :D

Well, I tried to make SMB2's Icy underground tileset in SMB3's style, although it didn't go well, and basically at the moment, it's just (poorly) outlined :

Isn't that the exact same fill tile as in the Original tileset.
