My Levels (2.0)

Postby milesman34 » Wed May 15, 2019 8:35 pm

These are some levels that I made.

Grassy Hill Stage
This is a test level that I made to test out the new lineguides in the MaGLX3 version. It is grass-themed, and has some moving platforms.

Cool. Seems like a simple level. Kind of reminds me of the older 1.3 levels.

It's alright. It definitely feels like traditional Mario level, but there isn't much memorable about it. For your first shot with MaGLX3, it's pretty good.

Most of my real issues with it are small ones, like how the final set of platforms can get really bad desync, forcing you to either wait or take a really risky jump. I have a few solutions to this. One would be to make the platforms synced by making their tracks have the same length. Another would be to add an alternate path for the section that gave you more consistent platforms at the cost of more difficulty. My last solution would be to make the platforms at rest until stepped on, which would let the player control the platforms' positions.

There are also some small polish issues like the bonus room's pipes being two-way, but that's just a nitpick. Fun level, keep creating!
